Three years!!

I think I am in a little bit of denial about the fact that I have a

 THREE year old!

Hazy girl is getting spunkier by the day, 

three may be a challenge for us in this house :) 

                       

We had a little party for Hazyl and Mr. Harding. 

She had been talking about her birthday since November when Hattie had her birthday, so she was OVERLY excited that the day had finally arrived :) 

 I asked her a few questions on her third birthday and this is what she came up with...

1. What is your favorite color? Blue

2. What is your favorite toy? rubber duck in the bath

3. What is your favorite fruit? peaches

4. What is your favorite tv show? Mickey mouse club house

5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Noodles 

6. What is your favorite outfit? Sweater (heart hooodie)

7. What is your favorite game? Candyland with Dad after Hattie goes to bed. 

8. What is your favorite snack? fruit snacks

9. What is your favorite animal? a lion

10. What is your favorite music? call me maybe

11. What is your favorite book? Duck Duck goose

12. Who is your best friend? Rachel at the Gym 

13. What is your favorite movie? Merida (brave)

14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? squirt guns

15. What is your favorite drink? water, milk and juice

16. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween

17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? My purple Bunny

18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Peaches

19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday? Broccoli

20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Like you! (mom)

                   

To say that this girl is a very "grateful" person would be an understatement, so I couldn't wait to see her react to all of her presents and she didn't disappoint. 

 She hugged every gift as she opened it and then went and thanked the giver as well. 

Hattie of course needed a few "happy Hazyl's birthday" gifts as well. Thanks Tammy :)

Sweet Hazyl Joy, 

You are growing up TOO quickly! I feel like i just met you for the first time and at the same time, that seems like decades ago! 

You have changed my life in more ways than you will ever know. 

You have tested my patience, you have made my heart grow. 

you are smart, funny, goofy, thoughful, thankful, spunky, 

emotional, kind hearted, and beautiful. SO BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you for giving me the best gift ever!

 you made me a mother, and I will never be able to pay you back for that. 

Even on the worst days, you are so special. 

On the best days, you are pretty special too.

I hope that you will always keep that extra sweetness you hold. 

And that little bit of sass as well.

Master Tyson!!

Well, it's finally over. 

Technically it's been over for a while, he finished in December, 

but he walked on May 3rd and so it finally FEELS over. 

so glad. 

This was our graduation announcement. A big shout out to Kyrsten Geddes to whipping this up for us, it would have taken me DAYS to figure out what she whipped up in about 30 seconds. :)

We had a little party and my parents, Cedar and her girls, Ty's parents, Taryn, Roger and Judy all came to support!

About half way through, right after He had received his diploma, Ty texted me and said he was bored. 

He then texted me and told us to head outside. He was done. 

I was telling my mom, thinking it was a joke, and then looked down to see him walking out! 

In the middle of the ceremony!

We all laughed and quickly packed up and left to meet him and go celebrate at Olive Garden. 

I am so grateful for Tyson and all the hard work he put in! 

I am even more grateful that Ty is home with us instead of up of 5 and home by midnight :)

Holy Moly.

How cute are these munchkins?!? 

Cute. but stinky. as in stinkers. 

seriously, these stinkers are kicking my butt as a mother these days. 

So much so that I have, on multiple occasions, mentioned that these two girls may be our only children.

If it weren't for the fact that I LOVE babies, LOVE being pregnant, and LOVE having newborns, 

I might actually be serious about that statement.

When I first found out I was pregnant with Hattie and that she was a girl I was THRILLED and immediately started dreaming of the relationship that these girls would share. Obviously my sweet Cedar sis was on my mind and I couldn't help be so excited for Hazyl to have a little bestie just like me and Ceds...I better keep praying. haha because while these girls do LOVE each other and do play well together for the most part, HOLY COW can they push each others buttons so quickly! Mostly Hattie pushing Hazyl's. And man she is GOOD at button pushing. I think it helps that Hazyl might be the most emotional little girl in the world ;) 

Hazyl hit the Terrible part of the "terrible two's" sort of late. Does that mean she will be a terrible three as well? (please say no) 

Speaking of "no"....she remembers how much she LOVES that word. she is constantly saying "NO" in the sassiest little voice possible, and do you know what I say back to her? "ummm no, you don't say that to me" hmmm.....I think I need a better comeback. because clearly that word needs a break in the Harding house. 

And Hattie J. aka the Hattie Monster. aka Hurricane Hattie. 

Sheesh she is cute. But holy smokes she can be naughty. She on the other hand deserves to have the word "no" spoken to her quite often and do you know what I say? nothing. literally. Because she is so stinkin cute and funny that most of the time I am turned the other way trying to hide the fact that I am laughing at her naughtiness. It's those navy blue eyes. They'll get you every time.

That little stink could get away with murder. 

Advice? words of wisdom? encouragement for this mother drowning in little stinkers? 

Because although I may have one *hopefully* heading out of her terrible two's...I have one very quickly heading into them. Pray for me. mmmkay?

On a plus side my sweet Mother-in-Law is coming to save our sanity for a night while we head to Park city for a little Baby-Less time! Wahoo!!! Have I mentioned that Hattie STILL thinks she is a newborn in the sleep department? You better believe that we will be sleeping in.

Which also means that sadly Tammy will not be so lucky. ;)

Valentines

I think one of my most favorite things each year is getting a valentine card in the mail from Tyson's cute grandma and grandpa Harding. They are just the cute little ones like when you were in elementary and they only have a dollar inside but for some reason it is such a fun thing each year! This year the girls were extra excited :)

Little bakers

These little bakers (or "makers") as Hazyl likes to call it, 

are my absolute favorite "makers" around. 

 

Tyson's parents sent us a darling valentines package filled with baking tools. 

So, we set to work. 

Baking the most delicious and tricky pre-packaged, pre-cut, and ready to bake sugar cookies around. 

They were actually DELICIOUS.

Needless to say...Hattie was thrilled and had her cookie down in about .2 seconds flat. 

She wasn't very interested in decorating. 

After Hattie's was gone she wanted Hazyl's. Which Hazyl was less than thrilled about ;)

Hazyl decorated that cookie one. sprinkle. at. a. time. 

litterally. 

I basically had to force her to finish and take a bite since my camera was about to die! 

such a good mom. 

Overall...I think our baking was a success!! 

Happy valentines day!!

Cruisin'

We celebrated Ty's graduation with an 8 day cruise! 

Don't ask me how we managed to leave the girls for 8 straight days...I still don't understand how I survived, but I did it without having any major breakdowns! 

I knew they were in good hands, and I knew Ty and I needed some time together. 

We flew out to Florida the night before and arrived at 5 AM (3am Utah time)

Luckily our friends had a hotel and they let us come crash for a few hours before we were all able to go check in at the ship. 

The first night on the ship we just spent exploring and figuring out what it was all about. 

Come to find out...it was all about alcohol and food. we don't drink, so we ate. A lot. 

By the end of the cruise I had gained almost 5 pounds and Ty had gained 10! 

haha and neither of us were even a little bit ashamed. :)

Day two was spent at sea. We lounged around, read a little, got an amazing couples massage, and ate. 

A LOT. (in all fairness I think I ate more fruit than I ever have in my entire life!)

We went to a comedy club and left about 3 minutes into it...we should have known it wasn't going to be the comedy we would enjoy. All four of us trailed out of there and I kept waiting for him to make fun of us on the way out, luckily he didnt.

That night was also formal night, I didn't really dress all that fancy but it was fun to fell like we were on a fancy date! 

I think it was a lot more fun for Cami and I then it was for the boys ;) 

Day 3  was our first day off the boat. 

We spent the day in cozumel and had a blast! 

Ty's only request was that we walk around the actual city for a while so he could speak spanish, 

and that's just what we did. We shopped and got a little treat at the grocery store. 

we then caught a cab to a beach that had a resort type pool and lots of water toys for us to play on in the ocean. They had a blow up trampoline, paddle boards, snorkeling stuff and some big slides out in the ocean. I LOVED this beach. 

We got back on the boat for dinner and I think we went to a show and then headed to bed. 

Day 4 was in Belize

We went cave tubing here and had a blast! It was kinda creepy because you float through long caves and they have you turn your lights out a few times. Next time we will for sure bring a waterproof camera, we were bummed we didn't get a whole lot of picutres of most of our adventures.

 On our way to the caves we stopped in a town called Hattieville. We were explaining to a lady that our daughters name is Hattie and she then told us that they started this town after a huge hurricane "Hurricane Hattie" came in and destroyed most of Belize. I told her our daughter is kind of like a hurricane too :)

Come to find out...we could have sold our Iphones for $1500 here!! We didn't find that out until after we had left...we will just have to come again next year a little more prepared!

Day 5

Roatan Bay, Honduras

This was another activity that we didn't get many pictures :( 

We did a zip line here that was my favorite part of the whole trip!! The view was AMAZING and it had 13 different platforms...a little different than the zip line in park city ;) 

Cami is 24 weeks pregnant...you can't even tell!! 

So she did a jungle walk underneath us instead.

 After they took us to a beach where we went snorkling and it was perfect! 

We paid some local $10 to take us out to a cool reef. 

They also gave us free drinks and looked at us kind of funny when we asked for Sprite ;)

Day 6 was our last island...

Grand Cayman

This was by far my least favorite island. 

It is basically the same as florida. Very americanized and everything was very expensive. 

We were going to do the sting rays or dolphins and just decided to lounge and the beach instead. 

I would definitely choose to do the dolphins or stingrays next time. 

This was also our second formal night. The guys were even more annoyed to dress up for a second time ;)

This was JUST dessert!! Haha our waiters were awesome and would bring us EVERYTHING on the meny so we could try it all ;) 

Cami talked to us about the "warm chocolate melting cake" everyday for about 6 months leading up the cruise...she was definitely right about how good it was ;)

Day 7

Our last day at sea was super rocky. Cami and I went to the gym to work off the extra weight, we played some catch phrase, took a nap and ate some more. 

By this day I was SOOOO ready to get home to my girls. 

Day 8

We left the ship at 8 in the morning, headed to the airport and hung out there for about 6 hours!! 

haha not my favorite day. We arrived in Salt lake at 11 that night and drove to pick up the girls at the hotel that Ty's parents were staying. I couldn't wait to hug and kiss those babies!

Hazyl was awake and so happy to see us! She hugged me and then grabbed Ty and wouldn't let him go. sweet Hattie was asleep and stayed asleep as we put her in the car. 

It was such a fun trip! It was so needed and Ty and I were so happy to have a little Date time :) 

It was the perfect end to Ty's college career and we were happy to use a little student loan money to fund it ;)

Thanks a million to Ty's mom who happily took off work to watch the girls for 9 whole days!! 

It was easier to leave them knowing they would be having a party for the entire time!!
