Happy New Month..This year is running so fast and I pray that your blessings will run faster towards you ..:)
So I just read @ilola's blog post on marriage experts..
Lets see..
During the summer, I got a call from home saying a prophet wants to talk to me. I said uhmmmm ok o, because I am not one to run to prophet for advise. Anyway here goes the convo
Prophet starts by saying: be careful of the friends around you
Me: okay?
Prophet: mentioned about my job blabalala
Me: okay
Prophet: 2 men will come to propose marriage to you this year, the first one is the wrong one while the second one is the right one
Me: huh okay? well I am already seeing someone,
Prophet: nooo nooo no he is the wrong one blablaa....
Me: oh ok, well I will pray about it.
Prophet: * flipped on me*I hear directly from God, He talks to me, oya go and waste your time talking to God when he has already told me"..
Me: ok thanks
I was so shocked I couldnt believe my ears because my pastor even after telling you something will say go confirm with God yourself. Neways the call ended, I decide to call home
Me: what church does this prophet attend
Home: he doesnt have a particular church, he goes from church to church
Me: uhmm ok
Then the phone was passed to prophet and he said some other stuff, things got weird when he started
Prophet: UG baby, I like your voice oh..
Me:.errrrrrrr....
Please is that how prophets talk to people? Since I have started reading my bible I am yet to find that pattern of talking or perhaps oga prophet was excited..As if that wasn't enough, I did my investigation *I have legal access to her email* and found out that oga prophet flirts with a family member talking about sexual stuff and now he doing her visa to go to some Arab country *scratches head*..
Now don't get me wrong, bible says don't despise prophecy but test all things..So I was just thinking over and said wow, my spirit just didn't agree with him when the convo started but just out of respect I stayed on the phone till the convo ended...
So I still dey wait the proposal o..
This brings me to another scenario, I recently found out my former pastor just booted out of his 20+ years marriage. If you guys remember when I left the ex-mr I mentioned that a lady helped by keeping me accountable, well that was his wife oh..So, I got another call from a family member that I should stop speaking to her *insert no ask for advice*..So now I wonder because everything ended in her marriage does that make her less of a person capable of helping others? What of the pastor, he still does marriage counselling, I know because a family member got married recently and went for counselling with him just before...
So my own in this whole matter is when is one qualify to dish out word of advice or destruction? do you swallow everything? Left for me as @ilola reminded us in her post, go to the author of life when life issues arise, no one says you shouldn't listen to advise because bible also says wisdom is found in the multitude of counsellors (Prov 15:22)
That being said, I have been really busy with work and generally thinking of life, men this year cant pass me by with all the amazing testimonies around me..So I am praying like my last breathe depend on it well it does..
P.s: guess who showed up recently? the ex-mr...While is that when something is going so good something tries to come and show head as though they/its still important *rolls eyesssszzz* I send him back to the sender! Say Amen!
