Carter's Birthday Invite

Can't believe my baby's going to be 1! We are going to have a sports party for him! Here's the cute invite we made...

Carter & Eating

Carter loves to eat! We have yet found something he doesn't like. And he is never full! If someone in the house is eating, he thinks he must be too! All the signs he knows (eat, drink, more, please, cereal, banana, milk) are associated with food. If he wants more he is usually polite & says please but can hyperventilate if he has to wait! A couple days ago he went searching in the diaper bag for food. He found a container of applesauce & a spoon. He was trying to feed himself but a little confused because the lid was on. He brought them both to me to help. I decided it's time he start to learn to feed himself with a spoon. So here's his story...

"Wow look at me! I'm a big boy! (giggle, giggle) I can feed myself!"

"Hmm.. this is harder than I though. Thanks for helping me, Mom!"

"I give up. This is way too slow! Lets just see if I can get it faster this way."

"I have a lot to learn but I am so proud of myself!"

Playing at the Park

We were so glad Daddy had Presidents Day off! We spent the day together! The highlight of the day was playing at the park. Both kids loved swinging! Carter loved it all! He'll be very fun at parks this summer.

Here's some cute videos of Ellie. The first one is scripture she memorized for a talk in Primary. And the second one is the story she told us a couple weeks ago when we asked her what she learned about in Primary. She related the whole story of Joseph Smith. We had taught her about it before but not recently-- She must be paying attention in Primary!

All About Carter

Carter is 11 months old. He is usually a happy boy! But he can be very determined & stubborn. He loves to laugh & is very ticklish. But he knows how to throw a fit if something doesn't go his way! He loves his sister!!! He loves playing with her, copying her & misses her when she's gone. He will often do something when she asks him to & not for Wade or I.

He loves the bath! He doesn't really like getting out of the tub, though. :)
He is pulling up on everything & walking around furniture. He even takes 2-3 steps to get to something or someone. He will hopefully be walking soon because his 23 lbs is getting heavy for Mom to carry around!

He loves to help with the dishwasher. He empties & hands things to me. He basically loves to empty anything! I can't keep anything in drawers lately!

He got his first hair cut a couple days ago...I decided that the mohawk fit his attitude! :)

Carter is all boy! He loves to EAT!! He loves balls! And cars & trucks. But he's also practicing to be a good dad- He likes playing with sisters dolls & feeding them. He is so smart & learning to use signs. Some of his favorites are: more, all-done, cereal, drink, please, & sleep. He likes to give hugs, high-fives, blow kisses, and give wide open-mouth slimy kisses! We love this little boy!!
