I'm going home in 2 days!!!!!!

Right now I'm at a friends house using the internet after 4 weeks of not getting to use it! \kinda funny but they're mission friends of Craig's: Jamie and Karen Gregson and the funny part is that they know our good friends Megan and Steve Nordstrom! They were in the same church ward in Provo. Weird! Anyway, England has been great! Everyone kept telling me before we left to just be prepared for it to be overwhelming because Ghana is sooooo laidback and different. I'd say, no no no, it won't. The only thing that i thought I'd struggle with is not sleeping under a net. i hate bugs and got accustomed to the thought that no matter what, I'm safe under this thing and not even a spider can get me. Well I was right. I was just so ready to go home and see everyone that I'm not phased at all. I didn't even notice that I wasn't under a net! I think I just look at things weird because I think "okay that's just how it is in Ghana, okay this is how it is here......". I think moving to Ghana was more of a drastic change for me but moving back has been easier than I even thought it would be. I guess I just REALLY wanted to move back home!!!!! I am so excited to see and hear from many of you and also to keep in touch with my new friends in Ghana whether Americans or Ghanaians. Thank you all for commenting and please don't give up on me, I intend to keep blogging! Love to you all! WE are safe and well and arrive on THursday night to Kansas!

Since I am leaving soon, I thought I should write about the 10 things I'll miss most and things I look forward to most.

MISS
1. I'll miss the fresh pineapple and mango
2. I'll miss hawkers standing on the street ready to sell me anything I need
3. I'll miss the friends I've made here
4. I'll miss the stress-free enviroment here. NO rushing! Just relax!!!
5. handshaking with a snap
6. seeing people carrying things (HUGE things) on their heads
7. seeing women carrying babies on their backs
8. their accent when they speak
9. having warm weather at all times
10. Craig will miss the Ghanaian food

Looking FORWARD to
1. walking on the grass barefoot
2. drinking from the tap!
3. fresh air (no more smelly sewers, gutters, and burning trash)
4. traffic laws (please we need to have a little sense on the road! no motorcycles going wherever they want and people trying to hit you so that you'll stop and they can cut in)
5. mexican food :)
6. quietness..... (it's very noisy here, all night church services, etc.)
7. people urinating in designated restrooms and not in public
8. no ants everywhere in my house!
9. sunlight past 6pm
10. having water, power, and laundry machines at all times :)

I'll have to post about my last week here. It's def. been interesting and would explain why I haven't been posting or emailing lately. Thank you to anyone who has read my blog and no worries. I have only blogged about half or 3/4 of my Africa adventures so far. I'll do more when I get home and have internet access in my home that is fast fast fast!

We are leaving today and I am soooooo excited to see my family and friends again! Yea, yummy food!!!!
