As most of you know, we were lucky enough to travel home the weekend of the 4th of July for the Allen Family Reunion and to see my family. It took us about 18 hours to get from OKC to Cedar City. It was a really long drive but thankfully Braylee was fantastic and did so good. We got to Cedar and dropped some stuff off at our house, which made us both really home sick. We got showered and dressed, then headed off to Flowell for a fun family reunion. It was so fun to walk into grandma and grandpa's house and see the surprise on everyone's face. Grandma did a great job on keeping our secret :) We had so much fun playing on the bouncy house, helping with the treasure hunt, and of course, playing cities and knights!! We loved being able to participate at the reunion!! On Sunday we made the trek to Minersville to see my family!! Again, an awesome surprise!! My mom was laughing, crying, and screaming all at once, didn't even know it was possible!! We had a bbq that night, then got some much needed pamper time! Me and Jimmy both colored our hair, mine, blonde and Jimmy, black! Monday morning we got up early and got ready for the parade. My grandpa was the Grand Marshall for the parade and he had all his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in the parade. Jimmy didn't want to be in the parade so he watched and me and Bray were only in it for half of the time, she was pretty crabby! After that we went to the program, where my mom talked about my grandpa and my dad represented the "red necks" of Minersville! We got to go to the park and spend some time with my siblings and niece and nephews. Here we found out my sister is expecting!!! So excited!! When all the fun ended, we loaded up our car and started our trip home, and oh what a long trip it was. Because of our lack of sleep over the weekend, we were both exhausted! I started driving, and didn't even make it to Richfield(like I said, EXHAUSTED!). Jimmy did great, he made it all the way to Monticello before I needed to drive. This trip was extremely different than our one to Utah, Braylee wasn't feeling good, so she was crying non-stop, which made it hard of either one of us to sleep when it was our turn to sleep. By the time we were ready to switch, I not only was physically tired, but because I couldn't seem to help Braylee, I was emotionally tired. Thankfully, since Jimmy is amazing husband and father, and a worthy priesthood holder, he was able to give Braylee a blessing and almost instantly, Braylee calmed down and went to sleep. By the time we finally made it to Albequerque New Mexico(which seemed like forever, because neither one of us could stay awake) we ended up taking Braylee to the hospital because she was really having a hard time breathing. When we got to see the doctor she told us Bray had a sinus infection, which is why she was having a hard time breathing, and is starting to teeth, which was contributing to the crying. After we left the hospital, I was wide awake and drove a good chunk of the way. Jimmy was finally able to get some sleep, and so did Braylee. Getting back to OKC was a bitter sweet feeling. Glad to be out of the car, but sad that we only had a short time with our families!! We were glad we got to make it home and to see all of our loved ones and it was a great break from work!! Minersville Parade!!
When we got to Moab, they were just starting to light their fireworks, so Braylee and daddy were able to watch the fireworks!! Braylee loved them and it was a great first 4th of July for Bray!
