We had a great trip to Utah for the Weight family reunion in St. George. We stayed in a beautiful condo with views of the surrounding red rocks. It was fun seeing family and splashing in the pool with the kids. Jed joined us for the last part and we all hiked part of the Narrows in Zion National Park.
Lindsay and Matt were gracious enough to let us invade their beautiful home for a few days. The girls loved playing at "cousins' house." We enjoyed going to the zoo and nearby parks. I also got a chance to see some old college roomates that I hadn't seen in years.
We also had a chance to stay with Grandma Great in SLC and then visit her house in Westpoint and pick cherries off her tree in the front yard.
For the last leg of our journey we headed to Yellowstone with Terry and Logan. It was great to have an insider as our tour guide. Terry took us to some magnificient places including Mammoth hot springs, Yellowstone Lake, Norris gyser basin, Hellroaring, Hayden Valley, the Hudus, and more. Elizabeth and Noey loved looking for buffalo and "hot tots". We saw bison, bears, elk, deer, rabbit, hawk, eagles, and lots of ground squirrels.
It was truly a great adventure but we are also happy to be back home for a while.
