First Day of School!!!

They say when you scrapbook you should start with the most recent event and work back when you have time....hope that goes for blogging too. (Maybe someday I will get around to posting our summer! :)

Savhannah started 5th grade on Thursday. Her teacher this year is Mr. Alder and she is very excited! The class she is in is a 5th/6th grade mix. She looks like she will fit in fine.....



Madelyn started 3rd grade this year. She (as always) couldn't wait for school to start. Her teacher is Mrs Crossley and seems very nice. None of Maddie's friends ended up in her class, but I am sure she will have no problems making new friends!



Brandon started 1st grade this year. He has Mrs Forsyth and he already knows her very well since Maddie had her in 1st grade and we got to help in class! He told me he would miss me while he was at school all day.....I miss him too!

Wray Family Memorial Day Campout

As our luck goes with weather, we went camping for Memorial Day weekend and it rained, THE ENTIRE TIME! Still glad we went, it is alway fun to spent time with family!

Spring Break '09

For spring break we decided to take a trip to Denver, Colorado. Since the company Mike works for has a plant there, he spent the first day and a half working there. Then we played for a couple of days. The irony of this being our "spring break" was that Denver had the worst spring storm of the decade while we were there. We had fun anyway! We went to the Butterfly Pavilion, The Children's Museum of Denver, The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, we saw "Monsters and Aliens" in 3-D and we got some fun shopping in! (Ok, I thought it was fun). Here are a few pics....

General Conference

As always, conference this year was extraordinary! I enjoyed every single talk. This is just a part of one of my favorites. This talk was given by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland in which he spoke of the final moments in the life of Jesus Christ and talked directly to those who feel alone or abandoned. If you haven't already heard it I encourage you to listen to or read the entire talk at www.lds.org.

Brandon's 6th birthdy

Brandon! What can I say, I love this guy! It seems like this past year he has learned to be as rough as the rest of them, he will wrestle with anyone who offers(and sometimes those who don't). He loves bakugan and Ben 10, and he is destined to be a good reader, if I could get him to sit long enough to actually start reading. I am glad he has somewhat grown out of the "I don't like mommy's hug and kisses and I love you's". He must recognize how much I need them! The thing I love the most about Brandon is his smile. Since he was small he almost always has a smile on his face. He is just by nature, HAPPY!

Brandon's 6th birthday was fun. We went to Kangaroo Zoo and took 6 of his good friends and Christy and JD and their family. After Kangaroo Zoo we went to Mike's office and had pizza and cake and ice cream. Brandon got lots of fun gifts for his birthday his favorite being the DS he had been asking for since his sisters got one for Christmas.

Happy 2nd Birthday Delaney!!!

Can she really be 2? Time goes by so fast. Delaney has been so much fun lately! She is ALL girl!! She seems to be learning double time. Her vocabulary doubles weekly. She loves to play house and she is the best little mommy. She pushes her babies, Sally, Gigi, and Lola around all day in her stroller. She likes to call daddy and grandma on the phone, and many times the last person I called on my cell phone. She is always dressing and undressing herself...if it isnt into her pj's it is into a different outfit, and then another and then another. She likes drawing and coloring and reading books...well, having books read to her. She is still 100% Daddy's girl. On her birthday she chose Honeycombs and blueberry muffins for breakfast and for dinner she specifically asked for "chocolate". I asked her what else and she said, "chocolate". Ok, so what else???? "goni cheese". Glad she was so easy to please. Her favorite part of the day was blowing out the candles. We sang to her 4 times and she blew out the candles 4 times and she cried when we said that that was enough. We are so blessed to have Delaney in our home, she is such a joy! "To know her is to love her!"

Rolling

Hooray! We were downstairs putting laundry away and Lucas was laying on the floor on his back. I came out from one of the rooms and I saw him tip from his side to his tummy. I asked the girls who had put him on his stomach and they all said they hadn't. So I rolled him to his back and guess what......

I know that this seems late, but for my kids it is early. I always make the mistake of letting my kids sit before they learn to roll over resulting in angry tummy time. With Lucas I decided that I would do the opposite. Took 5 kids for me to figure it out.

I thought it was funny how Brandon and Delaney got down and started showing their skills.

Brandon's Tooth

Yes, it is true! Brandon lost his first tooth yesterday. I noticed a few days ago that he had one tooth that looked like it was being pushed forward. I wiggled it and Brandon started apologizing, he said he hit it a couple of days before. I got all excited and told him that it was okay, he was supposed to lose his tooth. It is so weird for me to see him without his tooth, he looks to young to be losing his teeth yet, or maybe I just don't realize how old he is getting. Neither of the girls lost any teeth until they were 6 and a half. Just as a side note, Brandon is losing his teeth and I am pretty sure that Lucas is getting his, he has been running a fever and his gums look swollen. A year and a half ago, Maddie and Delaney were doing this! TIME FLIES!

Madelyn's Baptism

What an amazing day! Not only is Madelyn beautiful on the outside, but she is stunning on the inside. She was ready for this day. She understands the promises she is making with Heavenly Father and her responsibility. I am so proud of you Madelyn! You are an amazing girl!

Grandma Wray bought her her dress, she tried on about 10, but it was the first one she tried on that was the winner! Thanks Grandma (and Grandpa)!
