Exempt Quantities & Concentrations
Federal regulators consider certain quantities and concentrations of radioactive materials to be exempt from regulatory authority. Â In some cases, they reflect the quantity or concentration below which a radioactive materials license for possession is not required. Â In others they may reflect an exemption from the rules altogether. Â The most often used exemption amounts have been divided into separate sections.
