Laurie Cameron- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Darlene Love sings this somewhat sad Christmas song with a bit more of a positive twist to it than Miss Laurie Cameron, but I still like it. I almost think the slower, more melancholy version suits it a bit better.
Almost makes me wish I had a lover to miss? What? Pathetic. Yeah right. I'm too busy planning the design of my gingerbread house and what Land-O-Lakes Hot Chocolate packet (It's a toss up between Hazelnut and Mint) to use for my next cup of the wolds best holiday beverage (behind Whole Food's Egg Nog that comes in a glass bottle) to be getting all down in the dumps during the Holidays. Did I use too many parenthesis? I don't even care.

August 4th
On August 4th My father and brother celebrated their birthdays. They happen to be exactly 30 years apart. As a family we were able to celebrate the occasion with the traditional chocolate cake and ice cream. After the modest celebration, Brad (birthday brother) and I took the dirtbikes out around the yard and to the surrounding pastures to explore. We decided to enjoy the last few minutes of daylight up on the hill with the radio tower above my grandparents house.
I particularly like how it has the retro looking electrical bolt on the dish. Pretty classic if you ask me. First picture is of the dish, second is of the tower on the hill, and third is of rad Brad's profile shot which will most likely turn into a new profile pic. (you know you wish you had a nice profile shot like that to slam up on good 'ol FB)
Needless to say, I'm glad Bradley made the 11 hour drive north so we could celebrate his birthday and have a family reunion. Good choice.

Last Christmas my brother Brad and sister Michelle recorded this rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear" as a gift to my Mom. It was my sister Michelle's singing debut. She is pretty shy and isn't known as being a performer so it was a breakthrough. If you want a copy of the song I can email it to you. I'm trying to encourage them to record a whole Christmas album one of these days. It's in heavy rotation on my Christmas playlist. They played it for me for the first time when they picked me up from the airport having just gotten back from a semester abroad in Israel. They had just gotten the master copy from the studio and hadn't shown it to anyone. It was pretty neat. Hope you enjoy.
