Hi! I hadn't received notifications about the draft being declined, as I submitted it from a TA, which is why I'm only responding now.
I understand your concern, but I have cleaned this draft (that was previously part of an AIN discussion: see Wikipedia:AI noticeboard/Archive 9 § User:DddsDD) of hallucinated details and reviewed and reworked the translation myself based on its Russian Wikipedia counterpart. This is also why the template was replaced originally; I have discussed this with the original AIN poster on their talk page: User talk:Gurkubondinn § Draft:Leonid Selyakov
I had re-submitted that article with WP:LLMTRANSLATE in mind, following all of the four listed criteria for it, as I am a native speaker of Russian and am fluent in English. In fact, it led me to make edits to the original article too! From the way I see it, it's not the LLM part that needed review (it had been reviewed ad nauseam by the time of your review), but the translation itself (and by somebody who is also fluent in both Russian and English). As such, I'm asking you to either elaborate on your decision or retract your declination (if possible) and let somebody else review the draft. I'm working on Draft:V. Ponraj, declined on 5 August 2026 for insufficient significant independent coverage. I have sources confirming his career (Senior Scientist on the LCA-Tejas programme, Director (Technology Interface) at the President's Secretariat under A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, later political career with MNM), but most are either primary/court records or mention him within stories about others rather than being substantially about him directly. I've disclosed my COI as his manager. Could someone advise whether specific types of sources would help, or whether this suggests he doesn't yet meet WP:NPEOPLE? Thank you.

Varvara Seminnikova (1890?-2008)
[edit]I wonder if Longeviquest will be able to verify her age—much like they did for Klavdia Gadyuchkina. It seems to me that the Gerontology Research Group only looked at her 1890 church record, but I know Varvara has an employment record from 1908. I wonder if Longeviquest will be able to confirm her age. After all, reaching 117 years of age is incredible for the 2000s, considering Maria Capovilla lived to be 116. [edit]Hi there, You've just rejected this page on the basis that you think it was written by an LLM (or significant parts of it were). This is absolutely not the case.
Can you please be more specific - without you highlighting sections that you feel are LLM generated, it's an impossible task to fix.
Accusation of AI use are quite serious and I think require more than just a standard generic denial.

Hi there, thank you for the review and feedback. I'd appreciate some guidance, as our preparation for this submission took into account, the CEO/Founder disclaimer, and coverage from what we identified as reliable and reputable sources:
- Independent, dedicated coverage where available (Euronews, Robb Report en Español), though I recognise these lean on company interviews/materials rather than fully independent reporting.
- A 2018 Lifehacker review, independently reported, with the writer's own price comparison and a critical note on the app's limited city coverage at the time — no interview involved.
- Trade press mentions (PhocusWire, Skift) and passing mentions in larger outlets (New York Times, Fortune).
Given this mix, I'm not sure whether the gap is that none of these individually meet the bar, or whether it's a case of needing more sources of the Lifehacker type specifically. Any guidance on which of the above (if any) is closest to counting, and what would help close the gap, would be genuinely appreciated.

Fact vs quotation
[edit]Preface: apology in advance if this approaches blugeoning. This is a really important distinction and I don't think we disagree on the big picture, so I want to make sure I'm being super clear. Didn't want to put it on the other users Talk page either.
Fox was an example of a logical loopholl where political football gets included, uncritically, in Wikipedia. Your listed refs are also good example, as not a single one provides evidence of this "rift". Detroit News lists AG Dana Nessel of all people as representative of Jewish community members in Detroit, which is wacky. She was compelled to drop a witch hunt prosection against pro-Palestinian student protesters a few months ago as more evidence came out of her conflits of interest (including monetary) with pro-Israel groups, including in the DNC.
I am not disputing the validitiy of those orgs as secondary sources, I'm saying we cannot include, uncritically, when they say things which are not actually evidenced. We can say "Detroit Free Press claimed that El-Sayed comments created a rift in Jewish voters in Michigan.", with Freep as the ref. We cannot say "El-Sayed's comments created a rift in Jewish voters in Michigan", with Freep as a ref, as the ref does not empirically support the claim as a statement of fact.
El-Sayed's miscontruing response I think is valid for inclusion as it is a direct quote on the topic from the BLP subject. If he were to say "My comments created a rift between Jewish voters in Michigan", we still could not say "El-Sayed's comments created a rift in Jewish voters in Michigan" with his quote as a ref. There is no evidence of the rift. And critically, this is a major piece of propaganda both by the GOP and by the pro-Israel faction within the DNC, despite polling continually showing that the rift is largely within the American Jewish electorate, bisected by opposition to the genocide and Netanyahu as a figure, in particular.
This is a very basic fact vs quote distinction. On Wikipedia, virtually everything relating to politics which is a statement by politicians or political commentators is a quote, not a fact. The existance of the quote is a fact, and may be valid for inclusion if the topic is SIGCOV. The claim within the quote is not, minus evidence, to be included on wikipedia as a fact. This is the method in which Wiki stays encyclopedic but can contain factual, externally referenced information related to current political events. Mausfield (talk) 13:16, 2 September 2026 (UTC)
- also, just for the record, your Detroit News ref includes, as its evidence for a "rift among Jewish voters", an "open letter" entitled MICHIGAN JEWS AGAINST EXTREMISM, which is hosted on a website called "mijewsvote.com". There is no notation on who runs the site. There is no certification of the names. There is basically nothing, except for 0.001% of the Michigan Jewish population who somehow happened to end up on a website dedicated to Mike Roger's campaign.

- None of those are sources for a rift in Jewish voters. They are sources for people claiming there is a rift in Jewish voters (including NYT, which is effectively as bad as Fox on the topic of the Palestinian genocide, see the article on the topic of NYTs perennial pro-Israel bias as well as https://newyorkwarcrimes.com/dossier). Not a single one of them contains representative polling.

There's no way that this could've closed any other way than keep, but it meeting WP:NBOOK was never in question. Everybody agreed it met NBOOK. Presumably all of the !votes for keep mentioning it were editors unfamiliar with the recent PAM merge into AfD who came from the link on a high profile article. 1brianm7 (talk) 01:06, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
Chris Hallum Draft
[edit]I am confused by the reasons for the article being declined.
1) The article discusses Chris Hallum quite in depth, containing multiple sections and around 1,100 words in total. The sources also discuss Hallum in depth.
2) The outlets are reliable; News-Herald is a long standing organization. The other news outlets are completely independent. The revize PDFs come directly from the government of Willoughby Hills, even though labeled Michigan. As for YouTube and Facebook the concerns are valid. But the YouTube videos contain reliable local Ohioan news organizations that directly filmed the mayor's response and resident responses. The YouTube channel link provides ads including Chris Hallum. The Facebook links are directly from Chris Hallum's and Laura Pizmoht's Facebook pages. The videos and posts provide their plans in detail, with Chris being directly filmed. The videos and posts are from the primary source, the candidates, and are not reposts or AI generated content. Every claim is verified with the according source.
3) I have no conflict of interest as I reside in Painesville. The sources that are primary are used because they are the most reliable: Revize PDFs show the exact ordinance, according expenditure, and date from the WH government. The government page providing a bio for Hallum is from Hallum himself and therefore reliable. The bio is also verified by other independent sources linked. A candidates' promises should come from a primary source because they made the promises and filmed themselves. The capabilities of Flock are known best by the company. The claim about Flock is not contentious: no one disputes that Flock collects physical vehicle data. Conservative-at-Heart (talk) 23:20, 7 September 2026 (UTC)

I noticed both the draft decline and talk page notification were logged at 00:24.
Could you clarify how the Addis Zemen profile was evaluated as a "brief mention" in that timeframe? It is a dedicated full-page feature on page 9 of Ethiopia's national daily newspaper of record (under "ባለዉለታዎቻችን" / prominent figures).
Per WP:OFFLINE, print sources from national archives do not require web links to be valid. Was there an actual issue with the depth of the Addis Zemen spread, or did the automated decline simply flag the need for a second non-interview source? Yonass abebe (talk) 01:27, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
