Good article nominations RfC
[edit]Hi PresentlySuraye3,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:03, 11 August 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed you are a user who has a number of open Good Article nominations and thought you might be interested in Good Article Review Circles. It is an initiative that helps articles get reviewed more quickly through collaborative efforts. By joining, you will review another user's article and get your own GA nomination reviewed in return. Check out the project page for more details! — 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 15:07, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Reverosie, thanks for the talk page message. The page for GARC says that a requirement to participate is to have a Good article mentor, but I am assuming this isn't the case for experienced participants? PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 19:46, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- It is not a requirement for experienced reviewers 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 21:09, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- I left a nomination of mine at the page, worth giving this a shot. PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 21:38, 14 August 2026 (UTC)

{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Liz Read! Talk! 03:15, 4 September 2026 (UTC)- @Liz This is coming as a big surprise to me. Can you please explain what this is for? PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 03:15, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- Why are you mass creating categories and then tagging them for deletion? I think you need a rest from creating categories. It's just a brief block, maybe spend some time learning more about categories and their function on this project. Liz Read! Talk! 03:19, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- @Liz, I know how categories work in article space. The reason that I mass-tagged these ones, the ones that I made earlier today, was because they revolved around a template related to language scripts. I realized that I had messed up in their creation and it created a hassle for their use, so I intended to try and start over with a different script code. I made a post at the Teahouse here .
- I do not believe that this deserves a block from the Category namespace. If it created a hassle for the project, then I apologize for creating the hassle, but it was simply a misunderstanding and not ill-intent on my part. PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 03:22, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- I'm also a bit confused about this block, @Liz, especially that it's a vandalism block -- I'm not seeing much in the way of vandalism? Certainly a few mistakes, but the kind that warrant a conversation, not a no conversation-block.
- PresentlySuraye3, I'd really encourage filing an unblock request, repeating the contents of your first paragraph here, emphasizing that it was a mistake that, from the sounds of it, won't happen again? GreenLipstickLesbian💌🧸 18:27, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- I've lifted the block. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:56, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
