Create a request for undeletion below if you want to:

• Restore pages or files which were deleted through:
  • the proposed deletion process
  • one of the specific speedy deletion criteria listed below, or
  • XfD discussions closed as "soft delete".
• Improve the content of a deleted page so that it can be kept; or
• Use the content of a deleted page somewhere else. In this case it can be restored as a draft, moved into your userspace, or emailed to you privately.

As an alternative to this process, you can make a direct request to certain administrators. (JavaScript .js and CSS .css pages are a special case; to request those, use the Interface administrators' noticeboard instead.)

Applicable speedy deletion criteria

You can only request the restoration of pages which were deleted by speedy deletion if the criterion used was one of the following.

• A1, no context
• A3, no content
• A10, recently created article that duplicates an existing topic
• F4, lack of licensing information
• F5, orphaned non-free use files
• G6, maintenance deletions
• G7, author requests deletion
• G8, pages dependent on a non-existent or deleted page
• G14, unnecessary disambiguation pages
• U1, user request
• U2, nonexistent user

Listing them individually is better than bundling them together, then they can be done individually. The problem is dumping large amounts of work on others at one time. They are then likely to either gen admins skip over them to others, or others have to wait while all these get processed. I'm also not sure that we need endless examples. • Renerpho, Done However, for this one I'm also not sure it is a hoax per se as if you go to the listed coordinates 30°30′06″N 77°28′57″E on google maps several of the local places have addresses listed as "Dhaula Kuan". A local school with the website https://brilliantmountsrsecschool.com/ lists its address as "Dhaulakuan, Paonta Sahib Sirmaur (HP) 173025." This is the trouble with G3 deletions, some are just badly sourced, not actual hoaxes. I'll check later after work, but I think this one should be removed and maybe draftified.   Thanks for that, KylieTastic! Agreed, this looks like a bad deletion. I could only go by what's stated in the deletion rationale, plus the archived post on Wikipedia talk:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia. The same may be true for the Mandhara article below (see Wikipedia talk:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia/Archive 3#Mandhara).

  The trouble with that one is that there was an argument in the AfD discussion for Mandhara that all three articles created by that user were hoaxes -- Mandhara, Dhaulakuan, and Dadahu. The latter is a real place, but the coordinates that were added to its page in 2010 by a bot are wrong. There's no settlement in that location, the elevation is off by over a thousand feet, and the only source for the article has been identified as a backwards copy. Edits like Special:Diff/367367050 don't inspire much confidence, but this turns out to be completely factual. Renerpho (talk) 12:08, 22 October 2026 (UTC)

I am requesting restoration of the China Law Blog article, which was deleted on March 6, 2018. The discussion closed as a soft delete, expressly permitting restoration under WP:REFUND.

I am Dan Harris, one of China Law Blog's founders and principal authors. I am also a founder of Harris Sliwoski LLP, the law firm that publishes it. I recognize and disclose my conflict of interest and am requesting restoration for independent review rather than attempting to publish an article about my own work.

I have reviewed the 2018 deletion discussion. The principal objection was that China Law Blog lacked significant coverage in independent, reliable sources and that the article relied too heavily on the professional accomplishments of its authors.

I understand that objection. However, substantial independent recognition and coverage of China Law Blog itself exists, including sources not identified in the deletion discussion and recognition occurring after 2018.

The *ABA Journal* inducted China Law Blog into its Blawg 100 Hall of Fame following repeated recognition in its annual selections of legal blogs. Legal journalist Robert Ambrogi independently confirmed the designation in a December 8, 2014 article explaining the ABA Journal's selection process.

This recognition is particularly relevant because Wikipedia's WP:WEB guideline expressly identifies receipt of a well-known, independent award as a potential basis for notability.

• China Briefing* has discussed and evaluated China Law Blog on multiple occasions. Its October 29, 2008 article, *China Joint Ventures Rehabilitated? Big Business Thinks So*, analyzes and challenges several China Law Blog articles concerning Chinese joint ventures.

In February 2020, *China Briefing* again evaluated China Law Blog, this time critically, in its assessment of China business publications.

These articles are relevant because they represent independent editorial engagement with the publication's content and development, including unfavorable assessments.

I recognize that citations to individual blog posts are not necessarily significant coverage of the publication under WP:GNG. They are offered as supporting evidence of its historical role, not as substitutes for the independent recognition and editorial coverage described above.

The available sources establish a substantially stronger record than was presented during the 2018 deletion discussion. China Law Blog has received independent editorial recognition, dedicated media coverage, substantive outside evaluation, and continuing citations in journalism and legal scholarship.

I am not requesting that the original article be reinstated unchanged. I agree that any replacement should focus on the publication's history, independent recognition, editorial coverage, and documented reception, including criticism. It should not rely on the professional accomplishments of its authors or contain promotional language.

I therefore request restoration of the deleted article and its revision history to **Draft:China Law Blog**, so that it can be substantially revised and submitted for independent review under Wikipedia's applicable notability, sourcing, neutrality, and conflict-of-interest standards.

I'd like to resume work on this draft, which was deleted under G13 in May 2024. Since it was declined in November 2023, I have located independent coverage that addresses the reviewers' notability concerns: a critical review in the Melbourne Times (6 August 1980), a feature in The Age (4 May 1982) and a feature in The Straits Times (December 1983), along with her works held in the City of Port Phillip and La Trobe University collections. I'm the subject's son and will declare my conflict of interest on my user page and the draft's talk page, and will submit through Articles for Creation rather than publishing directly. Thank you.
