Try rewriting the XHR timeout tests #2583
Description
Filing mostly as a note to myself.
In particular, exceptions seem to cause timeouts rather than failures (servo/servo#9383). With the improved worker support, I'm hoping manual postMessage can be avoided.

I looked into this, but the current tests are wrapped in some kind of legacy framework. Not really feel like touching that right now.
