pcsx2 speedhack not working via steam link with command line --nogui
Hi everyone. :steamhappy:
Recently I try to play games on pcsx2, using steam link from my desktop to my laptop (macbook pro).

At first the in-game windows is beyond my laptop windows,
so I use command line --nogui to solve this problem. It works fine.

But one problem is that, the turbo mode (press TAB) doesn't function well.

Attached one captured to show the case

You can see that the turbo mode is on, but the speed is still 100% instead of 200%.

This only happens when I play games via steam link with command line --nogui, on my laptop.

However, the f1 and f3 with savestate function works fine.

I am curious and want to find out the solution.
I would be so much appreciated if I can get any help here.

p.s. Weirdly is that, when I tried to capture the image above, the speedhack is back to 200% in turbo mode!
But when I switched to the pcsx2 window again, it turned back to 100% in turbo mode again.

p.s.2 I am not a native speaker, pardon me if there's something hard to understand or typo . Please let me know, I'd do my best to explain it.

test at the host without streaming and while streaming
may be performance limit on the laptop

make sure the controller binds are set correctly in pcsx2 and steam
steam -> library -> select game -> controller config
Hello, thanks for the reply.
I did test at the host and everything works fine. The hotkeys and the speed hacking plus the controller all function well.
And when I was streaming, all function worked well on my laptop if I didn't use the command line --nogui. Even the turbo hotkey works.

And the controller binds are correctly.

So this is why I am confused.
Thanks again for your reply :heartp:
I've also had the turbo speed problem.

Have you tried starting up pcsx2 directly on your computer and putting it in turbo mode, then connect the SteamLink? I'll try it later if I get a chance.
are you launching pcsx2 through steam as a non steam game?
steam changes the capture rate for desktop and steam launched games
Yes. I launch pcsx2 through through steam as a non steam game.
And stream though steam link.
So your idea is that maybe steam lock the capture rate when I stream?
Is there anyway I can change the capture rate to trouble shoot this issue?
no setting in steam
it captures desktop/bpm mode at 30fps, games at 60fps
That is sad to know :fscrazy:

But I'm still confused that when I streamed on my laptop and didn't used command line -nogui, the speed hacking works just fine as I wanted.

How come? :merman:

I think maybe there is another way to solve my problem is find a way to make my pcsx2 streaming window fit my laptop window, but it would be always larger than that if I didn't use --nogui.

are you changing the launch option in steam?
or the windows shortcut used to launch the game
I change the launch potion in steam.
