Intel N100 Hardware Decoding
I got a couple 100 Mini PC's to hook up to my TV's to do Steam Remote Play and unfortunately I am not getting hardware decoding with either the stand-alone Steam Link application or within Steam itself which is giving horrible playback issues. Is there any way to get this fixed?

I would be surprised if this processor doesn't support hardware decoding so assuming it is on Steam's side. Moonlight seems to be working great in my limited testing so that is my alternative, but I would prefer to use Steam Remote Play if possible. I just prefer the ease of use and integration compared to steaming though Sunshine/Moonlight. Thanks for any information you guys can provide!

Well after further testing while hardware decoding is not still working it seems to be an issue with mouse input making the playback horrible. If I use a controller the playback is great. Since I will be using a controller while playing from these setups I guess my issue is technically resolved.

Just out of curiosity I even tried streaming with another gaming desktop. This one was being hardware decoded by the graphics card and mouse input still experienced the same issue with the playback being a jittery mess. I can confirm it is only happening with input from the client system. If I use the mouse on the host system then the playback on the client system is great just like using a controller. It must be something with how Steam is reading the mouse input so not sure what can be done to fix it. I guess it just means that keyboard and mouse is not an option for Steam Remote Play and would need to use Sunshine/Moonlight in these situations.
Hardware encoding with N100 as the host is also not working in 2026 with latest Intel drivers.
