Same here, just started happening, multiple games. Also just updated to AMD 24.9.1 drivers. Tried turning off FMF2, no help.

https://files.catbox.moe/wz1vae.txt is steamlink debug, it hit around 11:38 AM on Oct 6
https://files.catbox.moe/6gm92u.txt is streaming_log for the same time
Just adding my experience to the list.

Regardless of the game, I too am experiencing freezes in gameplay and ultimately a crash.

Something must have been updated recently to cause this.

I should note that if our situations are indeed the same, then graphics card/driver is not the root cause, because I'm running NVIDIA.
I rolled back the AMD driver last night, and it looks like that may have resolved my issue. Need more gaming time to confirm though.
I have the same problem on my Saphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX. I went back and forth between my nvidia 2700 super and the AMD card. Works flawlessly when using the nvidia card. Every game with the AMD video card has this problem though. Video pauses at some random time (could be 2 minutes, could be 4 minutes. After about 30 seconds or more, The video resumes. Gameplay on the PC is still working just fine during the paused video stream. Audio is still streaming just fine during the video pause.

This is with an Apple TV running the Steam Link app. Both Apple TV and PC are on gigabit Ethernet so not wifi related. Kind of knew that already though since it works fine with the NVidia card.

Really frustrating needing to pause my game every few minutes until the video resumes.
I figured it out. You must disable hardware acceleration for encoding (not decoding). Doesn't matter if you enable HEVC or not. Hardware acceleration in Remote Play -> Advanced Settings must be disabled for at least my AMD video card or I will get pausing randomly on the video. Makes no sense to me. I hope this can be fixed because it seem like hardware acceleration for Remote Play should work for AMD cards.
Do you get any perf degradation from disabling hardware encoding?
I have had exactly the same problem recently. The picture freezes on the TV, the sound continues and everything works on the PC without any problems. After 20-30 seconds I can play the game again for 2-3 minutes. I have a Radeon 7800XT with the 24.9.1 driver. I'll try the new 24.10.1 driver today. Otherwise I'll try StatiC's suggestion to disable hardware acceleration.

/edit
The new October driver did not help. But the tip from StatiC did. Thanks for that!
I'm anxious to hear your results
Just started having this issues here, not sure if by switching to AMD or because of the update Steam Link had yesterday. Gonna try disabling the Hardware encoding config...
Yep, disabling hardware encoding seems to work

I have edited my post, deactivating hardware encoding works. The performance of my games (my PC: Ryzen 5800X3D and Radeon 7800XT) has not been affected.
Be careful, in the Steam settings there are two sliders for this (host and client) I have deactivated both.

Disabling hardware encoding worked for me too - AMD 7600XT (don't judge me!). Hope they fix the drivers. AMD always have some quirk or bug with their encoder, this seems particularly annoying instance if that trend
Same here. Thx for the fix! Having HW encoding back would be nice though...
Do the 24.10.1 drivers fix this?
