Steam Link

new build has bug that breaks controller input
I don't know the exact cause, but here's what I have observed.

I have a physical steam link device that I use. I also play on my phone via the official app.

Right now 100% slay the spire 2. After this newest update, after playing on my phone, if I go the steam link and launch the same game, no controller input will be accepted. Often this also breaks the mobile app.

On mobile I use the game shortcuts to launch sts2. On the steam link I go into big picture and then launch the game.

The only way I have found to fix this is to restart steam. Annoyingly not something you can do through these remote devices.

Does this happen with other games too? I just tried Slay the Spire 2 even locally it doesn't appear to support controller hotplug.

I tried launching Slay the Spire 2 locally, waiting until it got to the main menu, and then plugging in an Xbox controller, and I wasn't able to navigate the UI. On the other hand, if I launched with the controller already connected, once it got to the main menu I was able to navigate the UI and it said "Controller detected".

Hi, was something changed in the recent steam update? I was testing it out this morning but it just worked.
Now I'm not sure if it has to do with session length or it was quietly resolved.

Previously I did have this issue with other games.
