Unable to stream to Steam Link Hardware on newest Steam Client beta
Since the latest beta client, I have not been able to start a stream from my Steam Link Hardware; the screen stays black with the blue bar at the bottom and the mouse cursor in the center of the screen. The menu button works sometimes, but other times I need to power off the Steam Link Hardware to get it to accept inputs.

The host machine is Windows 10 running on Ethernet, and the Link Hardware is also running on Ethernet. It works as expected on the stable client release.

This is fixed for the next Steam client update. In the meantime you can go to the Steam Remote Play advanced host settings on your PC and enable hardware encoding.

Thanks for the report!
Thing is, I can't enable Hardware Encoding since I have an RX9070XT and it causes what I can only describe as "Display Lag". Like, inputs and the mouse cursor get drawn/executed correctly, but the image will "hang" for upwards of two minutes before it catches up, and then it'll just randomly do it. Unless that issue has also been fixed recently

The hardware encoding lag is fixed in the latest AMD drivers, and the software encoding black screen is fixed in today's Steam beta update.
