PS5 DualSense Controller Touchpad / Trackpack Buttons
I can't say precicely when it began failing, but some time earlier this year or late last year the trackpad buttons (pressing down on the left, right, or center of the trackpad) on the DualSense 5 controller began to no longer function for me. I am connected via bluetooth to the hardware Steam Link. I've tried two different controllers, however neither appear to respond in-games or via the controller testing settings on Steam itself.

The touch functionality works great still. For example, I can swipe around while playing Ghost of Tsushima and that is fine, but trying to open the map in a Yakuza game by pressing on the button in any area of the pad does not work.

I've tried exploring the Steam Input settings in hopes of rebinding it for games that do not have full button remapping support. Unfortunately, when trying to edit controller layouts it only provides the "standard" buttons that might be found on a generic controller, and does not offer the option to select one of the touchpad sides to be rebound.

Any suggestions or support would be greatly appreciated!

What device are you streaming to?

I just tried a DualSense controller plugged into Steam Link hardware and it's working fine here.

I am streaming from my pc in one room to my steam link in another, connected via wifi. It is the original steam link hardware, model 1003, with the included Bluetooth dongle.

While trying again to respond to this post, including connecting the controller via cable instead of Bluetooth, I actually noticed in the "Test Device Inputs" screen the touch pad buttons are lighting up the MUTE button on the controller display, below the PS button. I failed to notice it before because it was such a small light on the test screen.

I can't seem to find where to re-bind this, unfortunately.
Have you updated your DualSense controller to the latest firmware version from Sony?
Yup, just went and pulled on the latest firmware updates. Sadly still no change, still triggering the mute button on the test screen and no touch-pad button press function in-game.

Just to check -- which controller model is it? There are two DualSense controllers, one is CFI-ZCT1W and one is CFI-ZCT2W (they will be labeled with the model number on the back of the controller)
