Steam Link build 927
We've just released an update to the Steam Link firmware.

Changes:
  • Added a network health check while streaming
  • Fixed button layout for older Xbox One S controllers over Bluetooth
  • Fixed continual rebooting if the WiFi module is malfunctioning when connected via Ethernet.

still trying to isolate the below issue but only started seeing it after build 927 installed (thank you all for still supporting the hardware).

streaming over a wired connection to the link, from steam on a windows x64 desktop, the steam big picture interface appears as expected. two games ff7 remake and claire obscur both launch with distorted graphics (rainbow colors and grainy) on the streaming display. on the display hooked up to the desktop the graphics look fine.

opening the steam menu, it also has distorted colors while the games are running.

i also tested balatro which does not show this issue.

can send screenshots if this would help. thanks

EDIT: just rolled back to build 924 and the streaming video is fine now

I have a hunch. Can you try opting into the Steam beta client on your PC and update back to build 927 and see if that combination works?

Same issue as this. Only select games. Appear to be Unreal Engine games. AI troubleshooting suggests difference in HDR capabilities. Host can not do HDR while client can. AI with a grain of salt.
Edit: Resolved in 930.

sure - i can try in the next few days. i did notice the same issue trying to stream to a laptop with remote play.

Edit: Pardon the delay, also resolved for me using v930 and the latest steam client.
