Steam Link

steam link wont stay off
I go to turn off steam link
It turns off.
Then it turns right back on
If I have turned off my TV, it powers the TV back on. Previous build had fixed it, now it's back :(

What devices do you have connected? (Controller, keyboard/mouse, etc.)

360 controller, but it turns off with the system (before it starts again)
the x360 controller may have stick drift
if you unplug it, does it stay off?

the link also uses cec, if the tv is changed to its input it will turn on
in link menu display settings, turn off cec

You mean if I disconnect the wireless receiver? Not sure how I would then turn off the steam link though. When I turn it off the controller turns off, so I'm not sure what input it would be reading.

I disabled the cec. After it turns off it goes to the input with no signal, but it still powers back on.

Tried hooking up a wireless keyboard with the Xbox controller dongle disconnected. The power off only stays if I time turning off the keyboard right when I click. There's a short window. If I turn on the keyboard without touching inputs, the steam link turns back on.
Since the controller auto turns off, it must be turning it on just because it's searching for the connection? The controller turns off as the screen goes black, similar timing to when I turn off the kb.

The controller doesn't appear to have stick drift from testing.

Mostly it annoys because my TV auto switches inputs and auto turns on. Great feature I can't disable. So I have to wait for it to pay back on before I do the next thing. Just to be clear, the steam link hasn't always done this. It did it a while back, then an update resolved it, but now it's back. I didn't report it last time because I thought I was turning it off wrong.
the tv should have cec setting you can disable

if its a wireless dongle its fine to keep it plugged in
most x360 controllers are wired, not many were wireless

Doesn't stop it from turning right back on

Most Xbox 360 controllers are wireless not wired.
Can you go to the system settings, save debug logs and post a link to them?
We'll need to see the system log, which should have information about why it's waking up.

Thanks!
