it wont work with biometrics


every sensor reads fingerprints differently (on phones, after replacing fingerprint sensor you need to re-train apps that use it)
face might work if it just sends an image, but way less secure

you can use regular typed pass
or set the pc just to boot to desktop with no pass as default user

steam cloud might take care of saves across users, or just mess things up

as long as steam is set to run as admin before login, you can use remote play controls to log in to windows


if the pc is off, you can enable wol in bios, and remote play client will send wol magicpacket to wake the host, only works on lan/wifi (not isolated)

from the internet or isolated network, you will need to use another wol app, and device thats on to send the packet, some routers support this, or use a tablet/phone that always on, and on the same network as host to do this

I did wake over the lan. I'm not sure , if it's bluetooth or wifi , but I can type in the password on windows via the phone.

It lets me physically use the desktop remotely when the game doesn't pop up and I can type in the password.

I just made sure it stayed in sleep mode. Assuming it can't wake up from hibernation.

I would love it if windows steam and mobile could cross use biometrics though. Especially , if it worked on top of the existing passwords.
