Steam Link Intermittent DHCP Bug on WiFi
Summary:
Steam Link Build 910 seems to have a DHCP renew bug on WiFi 5 GHz

Details:
When using the 910 steam link build on Wifi (5 GHz at 40 Mhz), sometimes it gets an IP from DHCP, and other times it does not.
When using Ethernet, it seems to always work, so the DHCP bug seems to be limited to WIFI.
I bought a new (used) steam link and both have the same exact behaviour. when doing a factory reset to an older build, they always work, but doing an upgrade to 910 seems to trigger the DHCP bug again.

Configuration:
Using Ubiquiti Unifi UAP-AC-Lite, with settings to maximize compatibility.
I tried with 2 different DHCP servers (not at the same time).
  1. Mikrotik HexBoard (RB750r2)
  2. Ubiquity Unifi Cloud Gateway Ultra (UCG-Ultra)

may be related to VLAN tagging prevents DHCP and network connectivity

if it matters, the WAP has 2 SSID's, one ssid is vlan tagged, the other is not vlan tagged, but gets one assigned at the switch port (access port type).
SSID used in testing is the untagged vlan.
