I am streaming from a laptop with a 3070. I’m using Mike the tech’s Virtual Display Driver, which appears to have ~1600 max nits as its max brightness. This appears to work as I can enable HDR in windows 11 when my laptop’s non HDR display is off. Using the windows HDR calibration tool, it “works” without HEVC enabled, meaning the box is all white at about 1600 nits. When I enable HEVC the box whites out at about 320. But I say non-HEVC “works” because I think non HEVC isn’t capable of HDR and this is really just being converted to SDR. Thoughts?
