Steam Link

Steam Link

Don't Laugh at Me! - I still use Steam Link and it won't connect
Long story short, I still use two Steam Links. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. They are older TVs and I use it to screen share my laptop for movies and such. I know a bunch of other things exist but I have these. Today they just stopped working. It shows my PC as "Ready". When I click connect "Big Picture" opens on my laptop but then the Steam Link goes to a screen that says connecting to network and then back to the home screen with my laptop showing as ready. So far I have tried 2 different wireless APs and hard wiring the Steam Link. Nothing. Any ideas?

Well don't I feel like a newb! lol. I don't use WIndows, been on Debian for 25 years. Recently I was testing out Tailscale and apparently it was auto booting and going through an exit node. Problem solved! Thank you.

Follow up, if you don't mind, how does the negotiation work for the steam link? How is it that it can launch the PC's steam Big Picture but then lose the connection?
I bought 2 steamlinks and 2 steam controllers when they were released. They both still work and i still use them.
udp port protocols, 270xx
it asks steam to start bpm and begin streaming to the link
(in link menu settings -> streaming -> advanced, you can pick to start in bpm or desktop modes)
