Connection issue on far remote computers
I never had any problems with my Steam Link, but since May 6th, whenever I connect to a remotely located computer, I see the Valve intro / Big Picture Mode with the spinning animation and sound, but then the connection drops and I get kicked back to the Steam Link menu.

Is it possible that one of the latest updates altered the way outgoing bitrate works? I'm running out of options, and I’m experiencing this issue on my Steam Link with every computer connected through a different internet connection.

This is the OG hardware Link, just to confirm?

Can you get the streaming_log.txt from one of the affected host computers, and possibly (if you have ssh enabled to the Link itself) the /mnt/scratch/log/S99steam log from the Link right after attempting a streaming session?
Not sure if it's OG:

FL61008AB8 MODEL: 1003
FCC ID: 2AES41003 IC: 20207-1003
INPUT: 5.1V 2.5A

I don’t have a USB drive. Would it be possible to connect my Steam Link to your PC instead? I’m pretty sure I can reproduce the issue on any computer.

I can see that, instead of maintaining a steady outgoing bitrate, it keeps increasing until the remote connection crashes.
Can someone confirm if they are experiencing the same issue? 2 of my friends are getting the same issue since last week as well.
This should be fixed in the next Steam client beta, thanks for the report!
I can confirm that it’s fixed in the May 14th beta. Thank you so much!!!
