Can anybody tell me whether the Steam Link supports P2P (Wifi Direct) mode at 5 GHz? If yes, would it be possible to develop an app or something (using the SDK) to play around with the Steam Link Wifi connection?

I'd be willing to dedicate some time to implement support for XB1 wireless controllers, but I'd like to have either an official response from Valve regarding this or a profound and thorough response from someone of the community.

Has anybody already tried this?
