Steam Link

Unable to install native apps from USB
Hello!
I've just purchased a Steam Link with a
Release: 637
Build: 253

But I'm unable to start native apps from the USB. I've tried 3 different FAT32 formatted USBs, but nothing happens.
I've tried tgz compressed apps an uncompressed apps (Doom, RetroArch, Kody...). All them in the /steamlink/apps folder, and also as part of the compressed tgz. All the possible combinations and nothing happens.
I have almost no configuration options in the system section.

Please help me!

Don't know if you ever figured it out for yourself but for me, I had to re-format flash drive as FAT32, set the folder structure like this: "root\steamlink\apps", trying to install multiple apps at a time did not work for me, I had to do them one by one. You need to put the tgz in the apps folder, make sure your Steam Link is unplugged from power, pup the flash drive in, I used the back left port and then plug the power cable back in and watch the flash drive flash for a while as it installs. And make sure you properly eject the flash drive from your PC.
Did cut the power of the Steam Link? Just shutting it off over the menu is not enough.

Yes, you need to shut off from the menu and then cut power. You can try following what I did above, everything has worked fine for me since using the same method I've been using.
how do I know a native app is installed? do I have to go into settings somewhere?
And what is USB VirtualHere?
got it to work now.
