I got access to my external hard drive using the USB mount script,
But 1080P H264 playback is super laggy.
Do I have to make another step to enable hardware decoding or is this not supported at all?

I was looking forward to replace my raspberry pi with this but if it doesn't work I'll just sell it on ebay.
