Test example issue
I'm trying to test the apps in my steam link following the readme. I have the beta on steam client and steam link. After compiling it propertly, and save the executable in an USB under /steamlink/apps , I insert the USB into Steam link, reboot, but I have no option to launch the apps.

I have tried to create /steamlink/config/system/enable_ssh.txt in the USB and ssh root@${steamlinkip} and the device refuse the connection.

What is going on?

It sounds like your USB drive isn't working with the Steam Link. Try reformatting it or using another drive?

I have tried formating it using gparted as FAT32, and as EXT4 in / . I will try with NTFS.

You also need a folder in the apps folder. So /steamlink/apps/testapp/ will have the toc.txt, icon.png, and the binary itself inside it.

For the ssh thing you (might) need to have some data in the enable_ssh.txt. Just throw a 1 in there. If you have 'hide file extensions' enabled in windows then you might need to just save it as 'enable_ssh' as well.

(I'm not sure why putting data in the enable_ssh.txt fixes it for some people. Doing `if [ -f file ]` on an empty file works for me in ash/bash/zsh)

The problem was the USB. With other one, with FAT32 format works.

steamlink/apps/folderwithexecutable works

I don't know how true that is. I created the text file, empty, using nemo on Arch Linux (DE: Cinnamon Desktop). This worked just fine for me.
