Poor quality image on AMD VAAPI Hardware Decoding
I am encountering an issue regarding the streaming quality using the steam link flatpak compared with the stream client.

The steam link hardware decoding has a worse quality of the image compared to the steam client.

I believe this could be related to that flatpak is using an older version of libva and vaapi, similiar to the issue showcased here: https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-qt/issues/401

VAinfo from OS library and flatpak library: https://pastebin.com/iZJCPX45

I tried building the steam link flatpak with the 21.08beta freedesktop-sdk which has a newer libva in order to see if this was the case, but building it fails.

Any tips on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated!

Can you try this?
flatpak install --user https://dl.flathub.org/build-repo/51191/com.valvesoftware.SteamLink.flatpakref
flatpak run --branch=test --command=vainfo com.valvesoftware.SteamLink
flatpak run --branch=test com.valvesoftware.SteamLink
It seems like the VAAPI version was not the culprit. The results are the same as before.
vainfo and the console output from steamlink:

EDIT: I also tested streaming using the steam client flatpak and it does not exhibit the same behaviour as the steamlink flatpak, leading me to believe that the flatpak environment is not the issue.
