Steam Link Meta Quest 3 app doesn't see my controllers. Problem with flat gaming
Steam Link Meta Quest 3 app doesn't see my controllers 8bitdo configured as xbox controller or switch pro controller. It works fine with other apps on my Quest 3 but steam link doesn't detect it.
Another problem is that my pc resources are rendering both, the flat game, and the vr room. This makes no sense for performances. Can you make a void room and a mixed reality screen for flat games please?
Can you give me suggestions please?

We do not currently support forwarding of non-VR controller data to PC.

You will need to pair your controllers with your host PC.

For optimal viewing, we recommend using the 2D game theater in the construct, instead of SteamVR home. You may want to try closing SteamVR Home and performing 2D gaming.

At this time, Steam Link for the Meta Quest does not support 2D gaming directly in the Meta environment.

Hi, your words makes me hope maybe you will support 2D gaming on Meta Quest in future, if you will have news let us know please.
My computer is way too far from the room I wish to play so I can not pair my controllers with my host PC. I have to give up with that, I wanted to buy Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk to play with it. I hope you will support mixed reality if you make it.
Thx for your attention.
P.s.
And a void room for saving performances with 2D gaming pls

Any idea when this might be an included feature? As soon as I tried SteamLink on Quest 3, I wanted to play my flat 2d Games on a big virtual screen.
I second that emotion
I’m also interested in this feature.

И я. Me2.
please add this feature as soon as possible, otherwise people are gonna stick with Virtual Desktop, because currently this feature already works perfect with their app. It would be great if you could play your 2D games in VR directly with Steam Link

PS: Also would be wonderful if you could play outside of your home network, like VD does. Playing in the same WiFi sometimes can be very limited.
I am also here for this feature. Being able to pair my controller with the quest and play 2D steam games via steam link is what I was really hoping for. My wireless network covers my entire house. Bluetooth back to the host PC simply doesn't have the range.
Second want the same ability!
If you use sidequest, you can grab the apk for the android phone app and sideload it. Able to use it in mixed reality with a stadia controller even.
I second this
+1 please please please. It is actually one of the only reasons I went and got my Quest 3 yesterday. I wanted to try and see what VR/AR was like. But my main focus was shaving a cool new piece of tech to try, but sit down on my couch or bed as people use my tv and just play any ol' regular game without having to go to my basement to my PC.
Any news for Flat gamers?
