Steam Link - Can't find PC on different subnet
For those that have their wifi on a different subnet than their LAN, I found a workaround that may help some users.

If your PC has wifi, connect to the same wifi as your quest headset then pair the device. Afterwards it will remember the device and you can connect via ethernet.

Will try this! Thank you for the tip.
Unfortunately this did not work for me. I can pair the pc on the subnet when I use the inbuilt wifi but when I set the computer back to ethernet it can't find the computer. I use google wifi for mesh but the computer is hard-wired to another router via Ethernet. The other router's wifi that I can connect to has a weak signal due to it being in the garage. Virtual desktop allows me to connect to the google wifi and works fine.
I should have clarified my WLAN and LAN are on the same router, but on different subnets.

Thanks and no worries - I have fixed the problem now as I have a new router configured as an access point in my VR room.

I didn t get it how you fixed it
Not sure why it's not working for me. Steam link on the quest just says "steam link is only available on the local network" after I switch back to ethernet on the host. Real bummer. I wish they would just let you enter an IP.

Then just tell your router's DHCP to put the computer on the same subnet, or put your PC manually on the headsets subnet.
