Steam Link

Steam Link Android app and controllers rumble
Steam Link hardware was and is able to handle gamepads/controllers vibrations/rumbles well.
Moonlight/Sunshine is also doing it.
But what about the Steam Link app? It seems it's not available as of now (2024).
Any chance we can expect a native support of rumbles in a near futur?
Here I'm talking about the Android TV version, but it can be said with the other versions as well.

I personally own some 8bitdo and Xbox controllers that support rumbles, and it's a bit frustrating that it's wasted with Steam Link.
It seems to me that one of the main force of Steam Link is its ease of use. Especially with the last updates. So it would be neat to have it working natively.
Also meaning that having to use workaround like VirtualHere seems kind of counterproductive. And Moonlight has its downsides too of course.

What device do you have? Steam Link supports rumble, but requires either a newer Android version or the controller connected via a cable, and be granted permission to use the controller.

An ONN 4K android box, and a mibox 3. Neither show rumbles for any of my mentioned controllers.
Android 11 does not support controller rumble via Bluetooth, it works only on Android 13 and up. In case of Android (Google) TV boxes you need to look up for device with Android 14 (Google TV Streamer) or wait for older devices update.

Currenty rumble on older devices will work only with wired controller or with 3rd party dongle (I personally use 8bitdo dongle ver. 2).

I'm on Android 15 and it still doesn't work.
