Steam Link

Steam Link

Multi-touch
Are there any plans on implementing true multi-touch for steam link? Ie I use steam link on my tablet to connect to my PC but gestures and dragging/scrolling do not currently work as you would expect on the touch screen.

What do you mean by 'multitouch'? The Link app does support multi-touch in the touchscreen mode, inasmuch as it can detect multiple events.

If you mean specifically triggering existing configured system-wide multitouch gestures *on the host machine*, e.g., configuring "if you use two fingers in this way on your trackpad on the laptop, it will work as a scroll" in Windows itself and having the touchscreen trigger those same Windows events when streaming, that's a different matter. That's trickier because those are usually being handled at a lower level in the operating system than Steam is injecting input events at.

Generally by the time those events touch the Windows userspace they've already been turned into mouse wheel events (or rather, directional scroll events), for instance.
"triggering existing configured system-wide multitouch gestures *on the host machine*"

This exactly. Unfortunate it's so difficult to pull off. It would be really nice to have on touchscreen devices.

Thanks for the reply.
