Xbox Controller works with my Pi, but is not working in Steam Link
Trying to us a Raspberry Pi 3 with SteamLink to stream games from my desktop to my living room.

I have Steam Link running as an app on my Pi running Raspbian and I have my Elite Series 2 connected to the Pi with Bluetooth.

SteamLink runs and connects to my desktop just fine, and I can use Big Picture as intended. And the controller works fine (I tested with RetroPie) and SteamLink shows the controller is connected and detected, but when running SteamLink the controller inputs aren't detected at all.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get my controller working with SteamLink?

I'm also having the same issue, I figured that connecting a mouse and moving it for a bit enables the controller so you can use it. But it would be great that you wouldn't have to connect a mouse and wiggle it for the controller to work.
