Fresh install of 1.171 broken?

On a fresh install of raspbian on raspberry pi 4, after launching steamlink for the first time I am getting these errors

I have tried removing and re-installing the steamlink package, manually deleting the Valv Corporation and Steamlink directories and installing straight from the RPM provided here

Anything I'm doing wrong here? This is a fresh as can be raspbian install, no additonal software added

I have the same problem. I have the latest version installed on a Raspberry pi 4. I also observed the following: When no controller is connected, I get to the controller setup during the initial setup.From there it goes no further because skipping is not possible. When I click on continue nothing happens.
If I have a controller connected (ps4), whether by cable or via Bluetooth, then steamlink crashes at startup, and I get the same message as op.

I also have the exact same problem as you both described. Steam Link starts up with no possibility to skip controller pairing menu.
If any controller is connected (wired or bluetooth), Steam Link crashes at startup with segmentation fault error.
I have this error with a fresh Raspbian installed on RPI4B 2GB
