Steam Link does not tag it's Dynamic range on Apple TV
Steam Link on Apple TV, contrary to any other app on the Apple TV, does not tag it's video feed for Dynamic Range, so if the Apple TV is set to HDR/DV as default, Steam Links video feed will be interpreted as HDR/DV by the TV and will display very incorrect levels on blacks (greenish tint).
Even though Steam Link only ever sends it's feed in SDR, it should also tag it correctly so the Apple TV can' match it's output (Match Content) and switch correctly into SDR out.

Same here - HDR is quite wonky via Steam Link on Apple TV.

Would be great if this was fixed!

Steam Link dev responded that the Steam Client beta includes fixes for colors when using HDR. Note that Steam Link / Remote Play doesn't have true HDR support yet.

Thanks for the info. but I think that's a bit different than this scenario where the AppleTV is set to output DV/HDR to the TV and Steam Link outputs SDR but doesn't notifiy the AppleTV to change it's output to match.

but it's good to see they're looking into proper HDR support as well.

I’m having the same issue as well over a year after HDR support was launched (in beta).

Has anybody found a fix or workaround yet that doesn’t require changing Apple TV settings back and forth all the time?

I've switched to using Sunshine on PC - https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine
Along with Moonlight on Apple TV - https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-ios

HDR works beautifully with Sunshine/Moonlight, as does 7.1 audio, and the latency is noticeably lower than with Steam Link (even at 4K). Other than that, same core functionality.
