I just came here to ask the same question. It works when my iOS device is on WiFi, but not on cellular.

Thought it was just me. Steam Link was rocking until the last few updates I have noticed that Steam Link has been iffy on connecting to the main PC at home (Away from home I have a very solid connection and at home everything is OK, nothing changed).

Sometimes it will see my PC and then ‘Poof’ its gone..then a little later it is there rinse repeat. So something is up with the Steam Link app (on my iPad Air 4) to be causing this. I have even redid everything at home and re-bind the Air 4 to my PC. So something is up when I am away from home.

Early March and still can’t connect away from home network. I have two PCs running Steam and I confirm they’re operating as intended before leaving. But once I’ve turned wifi off they are as “offline”
PSN remote play gave me the same issue until I updated the iOS app but there’s no new version of Steam Link yet. Is there a setting somewhere about using mobile/ cellular data?

Nothing else has changed at home.

Sometimes my home PC appears on iOS SteamLink, sometimes not.

So it’s now very difficult to reconnect to a game party when i need to shortly stop using my phone…

Sometimes I can see my home PC and try to connect but it says « Cannot connect to relay » (bad english sorry).


iOS is up to date, like everything else, just checked again.

At last everything seems to work again since the last iOS update 16.6 ! :)

Is anyone else having this issue again? “Couldn’t connect to relay” with or without wifi.

Same issue! Only fix is I have to manually restart the PC every single time I end a session for the next time I connect

I have the same problem.

I can connect by wifi.

But I can't connectby cellular communication. (Displays "Cannot connect to relay ***")

I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and this only happens with the eSIM.
