Steam Link

Remote play does not work on my Imac to my Samsung TV
Hello,

I use the Steam Link application from my Samsung Q60s43 TV, connected to my Mac (Mac OS Monterey 12.0) via WiFi local network or Ethernet cable. The computer is recognized from the Steam Link application on the TV, the network settings are OK, the controller is recognized. The Steam client of the computer can recognize the Samsun TV device (Associated Device).

When streaming from TV starts, Steam activates on the computer in Big Picture mode but nothing is displayed on the TV screen, Steam Link remains in search mode.

I have followed the instructions from Steam support:
- In the Steam client or Big Picture Mode, open the settings menu
- Under the 'Remote Play' tab, select 'Advanced Host Options'
- Change the "Enable Hardware Encoding on ..." box for your graphics card (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel)

Nothing is happening.

I tested the system with my smartphone, it's the same. The telephone is recognized, but the telephone's Steam link remains in search mode. The problem is probably with the computer, or with the Steam client.

If anyone has a solution.

thank you so much

I tried with my old computer Imc 21' (2011-Mac OS 10.13) and Steam Link works fine on my TV.

Here are the characteristics of the Imac 21 ':
- Processor: 2.5 Ghz Intel Core I5
- Memory: 12 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD6750M 512MB

Here are the characteristics of the IMac 27 (2019):
- Processor: 3.7 GHz Intel core i5 6 cores
- Memory: 16GB 2667 Mhz DDR4
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon PRO 580x 8 GB

Can someone tell me where the problem might be coming from?
