The pay-TV broadcaster has owned the rights to the competition, which will return to being a one-off match rather than a four-team tournament in 2026, since the beginning of the 2020s, and the current contract runs until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Premier Sports has acquired the broadcasting rights to the Copa del Rey in the United Kingdom and Ireland, starting in December 2025 for three seasons. Premier Sports’ Copa del Rey coverage includes the earlier stages of the competition up to, and including, the semi-finals and final.
Premier Sports is the official home of the Eredivisie in the United Kingdom, after the pay-TV broadcaster agreed a new deal with the top flight of Dutch football ahead of the 2025-26 season. The new deal, which will reportedly run until the end of the 2027-28 season, includes the live rights to two Eredivisie matches each game week throughout the season.
Premier Sports owns non-exclusive broadcast rights in the United Kingdom for the Scottish Cup. The pay-TV broadcaster owns the rights to the bulk of matches from Scotland’s premier cup competition, with the latest deal being signed in 2024 until the end of the 2028-29 season. Premier Sports broadcasts several matches live from each round of the competition, on top of both semi-finals and the final at the end of each season.

Premier Sports Player history, coverage, features

The Premier Sports Player is an online streaming platform available in the United Kingdom and Ireland that is owned by Premier Sports.

The streaming service was first launched by Premier Sports in 2013, when it replaced the previous Ustream service that they had used to provide this function.

Premier Sports Player allows Premier Sports subscribers to live stream all content from Premier Sports 1 and 2 at any given time. It is available as an app on iOS and Android devices, and it can also be accessed through the Premier Sports website on a web browser.

On top of live streaming, the Premier Sports Player also provides users with the ability to watch highlights and full replays of live events, for up to seven days after they first air. In the past, this has included football from La Liga and the Scottish Premiership.

To be able to use the platform as intended, users must have a subscription with Premier Sports. This will then give them a login so they can gain full access to it.
