so this here is garlan, making my agmccoy blog debut. i know its a couple days late, but i wanted to give a little shout out to my sweetheart. i'm sure all you readers know how wonderful and amazing amanda is, but i want to let you (and her) know how much i love and care for this gorgeous woman! i still cant believe how fortunate i am to have found such a great person. she's strong in the gospel, loves her family, loves and serves others, is caring, smart and beautiful. i really am so very lucky to have her in my life.
our valentine's day was really good. we spent the day down at her grandparents in monticello to hear her grandma give the gospel doctrine lesson. her mom was in town this last week to do our engagement pictures as well, so it was fun to be around her family and listen to childhood stories and hear them reminisce. i can tell where she gets her great qualities, her family is pretty special and i'm glad i dont have to worry about crazy/weird in-laws! it was a very pleasant and peaceful day.
for my v-day gift she engraved the inside of my wedding band. even though i kind of (okay, so i did completey) ruin the surprise for her, it was still very special and meant a lot to me what she did. the night before we went to the haiti fundraisor event and spent a fun evening together. i just love being with her, no matter what we do. i know she likes to dance and unfortunately i'm in no way inclined to moving my body that way. i mean, its quite sad to watch me try and dance, lets be honest. but i still enjoyed it nonetheless and appreciated the opportunity to hold her close during the slow songs (its hard to be bad at those)
i love amanda so much and really cant wait for our big day come april. there are so many qualities she has that i admire and respect her for. how could a guy ever get so lucky? I Love You Babe!
