Emma is reading!

Emma is reading!! She is so excited to get to participate in the Accelerated Reader program at school. She loves to read to people, here she is reading to AUnt Paul. She was supposed to read a book a week then take a test on it to get a new book the next week but she is so excited that she has read a book a DAY and gotten a new book each day! We are so proud of her.

The point

Eva Grace has this thing where she points to you. It started off as her and Burt's "thing" like a handshake or personal gesture, but it has turned into one of her trademarks. This trademark can usually be seen when she gets "that look" that she better stop doing what she's doing before she gets in trouble. She returns "that look" with a point at you. She will point to you and you have to point back. That is usually followed by some other fancy way she will point back at you, like an upward twist point, or a behind the back point or a between the legs point... you never can tell and it will keep going until you stop. It usually does sidetrack her from whatever was about to get her in trouble - or maybe it sidetracks me from whatever she was doing to get in troble? hummm....
And yes, in the photo her glasses are upside down and she fixed her own hair!

An Eva Grace Story

Annie is Eva Grace's favorite movie and she practically has it memorized! Do you remember the part where the boys are picking on the dog and Annie comes to his rescue? She doubles up her fists and says "Alright, who's next?" then after whooping them all she says "Anybody else?" Well, the other day Emma wouldn't leave Eva Grace alone. She kept pestering her and messing with her until finally Eva Grace doubled up her fists and said with her teeth grinded together, "Alright, whose next?" then she proceeded to punch Emma (and busted her lip), then added "Anybody else?"

I have started this blog to keep up with all the funny things that go on in our house.
Emma, my artist, is 6 and loves school, drawing, reading, and creating things. She is very helpful and sweet. She amazes me at how much she has grown up recently! She is starting to really learn about Jesus and conversations with her about Him bring me joy.
Eva Grace, my comedian, is 3 and is always into something. She keeps everyone on their toes with her quick wit and spontaneousness. You never know what she is going to do nor say. She can usually be found with her panties on inside out, pants on backwards and shoes on the wrong feet. She loves movie musicals, Annie is her current favorite, and she loves to sing. She loves to be with her friends and go, go, go!
Ella, my little sweetheart, is 9 months old. She has recently started giving kisses, waving and saying bye, bye, and today she almost took her first step by herself!!! She has the sweetest smile, which shines all the time!
