Memorial Weekend

When I was pregnant with Ryann it seemed like the whole world was pregnant with me, but with Major I was feeling very alone for a while there. Luckily the world caught up with us!! Just on Bryce's side alone there are 3 of Bryce's favorite cousins, and one of his favorite sisters. and this weekend we get to hangout with all of them!! Too bad we only get to see them a couple times a year, but it will still be fun raising our kids together, because like I have said before cousins are the best. Even Ryann had a little cousin there her age. They were so cute together I wish I would have gotten more pictures of them. I loved watching them poke each other, feed each other , and kiss each other. Although sometimes it made me a little nervous because Ryann looked like she could eat little Kemery, but Kemery was tough and could hold her own. Some other memories we made this weekend that were some of my favs were:

• Nurse outfits-apparently Nicki has a few she could loan out
• Pretty much Nicki in general. That girl cracks me up especially when she talks about people getting freaky or just certain freaks in general
• Cropping pictures
• Playing singing catch phrase- there should be a warning that pregos should not play that game
• Playing headbands- I think that is what it is called. That game can be pretty hard if you take some of the words out of context or if you are Margo and you get the word Bra
• Aunt Carolee's Gremlins voice. I have never noticed it, but apparently some people have.
• Grandma's Sacrament Meeting. Bryce even got to give a talk, and of coarse grandma made it so there wasn't a dry eye in the building.

As usual we had too much fun and the weekend seemed to fly by way too fast! I think we are going to need the whole week just to recuperate!! Love you guys. Thanks for entertaining us and giving us a place to stay!

Adrenaline Junkie Baby

I am starting to think that little Ryann is going to have adrenaline issues. At three months Bryce would drop her from the ceiling onto our bed. At 11 Months she liked to spin around as fast as she could.

At 13 Months she was going down the tallest slides at the park. Even some of the three year-olds were scared to go down. And yesterday at 15 months she was jumping on the tramp with the big kids. At first these events each made me more nervous than Ryann, but as soon as she started laughing it would calm me down a little bit, and now I am the worst mom alive!! I guess she got jumped a little too high because I started to notice her crawl around a little funny. She wouldn't lift her head up, and after a while she started getting pretty cranky. I wondered if she was getting bounced too high, but she was laughing so hard that I just let it happen, and now I feel like crap!! It is the saddest thing watching Ryann crawl around. She can't even look where she is going. We are going to the doc today for her 15mo. app. and hopefully she will give me some ideas to get this baby back to normal because each day just makes me feel worse and worse although Ryann seems to be handling the whole thing okay I can't bare to watch her anymore. Lesson learned, no more monkeys jumping on the tramp!!

15 Months

• Ryann has learned how to talk on the phone. She even says, "Hello, who is it?"
• Ryann took her first steps and is walking more everyday!
• At her dr. appointment she was weighing 22lbs 50% in her age. Her hight is in the 60% and her head is in the 80%
• Ryann is wanting to eat like big people. She sat and cried for 15min one time beca
• Ryann now likes to go down the slide on her bum. Same with the stairs it drives me crazy. I don't know why she won't go down the way I taught her anymore! Crazy girl!!
• Ryann tries to be big like her cousins. One day we were at grandma's house and she was playing cars with Paityn while we were playing crocet. Paytin was that there was a pink car and so she was yelling to grandma, "grandma, grandma there is a pink car!" Ryann tried to do the same thing holding up a car, but is just sounded like yelling
• Ryann loves to talk to her dad. One night she was laying right by him and looking at him saying, "Dad?" he responded what? then she would say wuf ooo (love you) He said I love you too Ry Ry. Then she would say, "Dad?  what? fuzbuzzbuzz. oh yeah? yeah." She did this over and over again for like 10min. Probably the cutest thing I have ever heard, but of coarse she stopped as soon as I got a video camera. Lately she does this all the time. One time we were in the car and she was trying to talk to Bryce, but he was too busy teaching other drivers a lesson. So she said dad? Dad? DAD? DAAAAD!?! he finally said what? and she went on with her normal chitterchatter
• Some other chitter chatter that she does is Rhyming she says sad, fad, ad, and then she will get really excited and oooooooo!!!! I have no idea what she is saying or doing, but it always makes me laugh
• I always sing Ryann and rock her before I put her down for bed and lately she has been singing with me mostly just chitter chatter but I do have this one song that I sing it goes like this: Sleep sweet baby Ry, Hush now don't you cry, la la la la la. Ryann loves to sing the la la la at the end
• Ryann knows where her nose is, well she knows where my nose is and she always likes to remind me when it is time to sleep especially if she wakes up early and I am trying to put her back to sleep. She just points her cute little finger on my nose and says ose ose ose
• She also knows where the head and cheeks are. She likes to slap both of her hands on to my cheeks
• Some faces she makes lately are a bunny face and fishy face. They both look kind of similar
• Ryann hates getting in the water. I thought she would love it, but not so much! She still loves bath time however which is good
• Ryann loves sunglasses. She usually puts them around her neck!
• Ryann loves to play with toy cars. She will "vroom vroom" them all over the house.

Boys make girls cry

Holy Crap I have been so emotional with this pregnancy!! Bryce says that it is probably all the testosterone that is inside of me right now. That hormone is jacked the freak up! No wonder guys are so crazy!! I have been having a super emotional week. It all started with Lucy and ended with me yelling, and crying (at the same time) at my mom on mothers day. So far this pregnancy has been a little different than my first with Ryann. I don't think I was near this emotional, but I guess you would have to ask Bryce. I get a lot of headaches, I have been experiencing heart burn, which I never knew what it was until now. Smells don't bug me as bad which is good since changing diapers is now part of my everyday role. I can't tell if Major is sitting high or low. I feel him all over the place. One minute he will be up in my ribs and the next he will be kicking my bladder, my hips are absolutely killing me, but nothing is quite as bad as the mood swings! All I have to say is Sorry! Mostly to my cute little family. I promise I am not always going to be this crazy! (At least I hope not)

a "Major" deal breaker

Major's name was picked before we got married. Bryce told me that his first born son's name would be Major. After Major Wright a football player who at the time played strong safety for The University of Florida with Quarterback Tim Tebow. He was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 NFL and now plays for the Chicago Bears. He too was born in July. I wasn't sure if it was a deal breaker at the time because people would call him Major pain in the butt or whatever else they could come up with, but I figured if Bryce was so set on that name than who was I to say no, although as soon as I saw the ultrasound of little Major I grew a love for the name maybe it was because I loved my little guy so much. We debated on naming him Bryce Major and just calling him Major. I have always been a little anti when people do that. I think people should go by their first name. It causes less confusion, but I was kind of open to the idea of it for 2 reasons. 1- dad and I both wanted to name one of our kids Byrce because we like it and it is a family name, but we don't want the confusion of knowing who people are talking about and 2- I kind of like the way it rolls off your tongue a little better Major Bryce sounds military, but the more we thought about it we decided to stick to plan A- Major Bryce Erickson it is!! I hope he likes his name as much as we do. It is a love it or hate it kind of a name, but it is a strong tough family name for a strong tough little boy!!

Happy Mothers Day

I told Bryce that for Mothers day this year I wanted to go to the zoo. He laughed at me and said okay what do you really want? I told him that with him working so much I just wanted to spend some quality time with my family, and I thought the zoo would be something that we could all enjoy. He looked at me and said really so you aren't going to help me out with this one. I asked him what he was talking about and he said that if he goes to work and one of the girls he works with asks him what he gave me for mothers day and he says a trip to the zoo she is going to think he is the biggest piece of crap for a husband, but she will probably just smile and say oh that sounds nice, and then another girl will walk in and ask him the same question, then she will look at the first girl both of them thinking the same thing, (Wow what a lame husband), and she will just smile at me and say oh. Then everyone at work will think he is the worst husband ever. I told him that I had no idea Mothers Day was so intense or put so much pressure on guys. He insured me that Mothers Day is a big a deal. I said well I would like to go get a pedicure right before baby Major comes, and believe me all the girls at work will be very impressed with you!! He seemed to be content with that answer, but it made me wonder if it is us girls putting the pressure on guys or if the guys are just putting too much pressure on themselves. Either way the whole thing seemed silly to me.

Bryce had to work on Mothers Day, so Ry and I went to church and then went over to my grandma's house, and later we met up with Bryce at his mother's house. I must admit that I am the luckiest mom ever. I have a wonderful husband, the cutest baby girl, and cutest baby boy on the way, a great mom, and mother in law.

P.S. Bryce and I still haven't gone to the zoo yet! I am starting to wonder if that whole conversation was just him trying to get out of going to the zoo!

Some much needed me time!

Today was Bryce's Day off and he spent most of the day playing computer games.  He works really hard for our family and it is nice for him to unwind on his day off, having a little me time, but as soon as he got off the computer I wanted to get on and have my own me time. Catch up on my blog (which up until this point I haven't written in all year!) Check facebook and pinterest ya know the good stuff, but as soon as I sat down Ryann came crawling to me bawling. It's just not fair sometimes. Why does she always have occupy every minute of my life. I ensured her that dad is just as fun to play with even if she doesn't get to play with him all day long every minute of everyday, but she just sat and bawled. Finally Bryce came over and took her outside so I could have just a few minutes to myself. Just as I was starting to feel bad for myself I found them outside asleep on the chair.

Watching them made all my selfishness go away, and I wondered if life could get any better. Especially since I got in the shower, did a little cleaning, and caught up a little on my blog. I am still really behind, but feel free to check out what we have been up to so far this year!!
