Bad News, Good News

For the past week, the Philippines has been hugging the headlines of international dailies and newscasts. For someone who is living abroad, I can't help but be happy with the good stuff that I get to watch and read about the our country. But I am saddened by recent events that have transpired in our country.

These bad news have overshadowed the good things that have happened during the past days.

GOOD NEWS:

Efren Penaflorida's win: It was supposed to be one of the BIGGEST news that media should have covered. Efren was voted CNN Hero for 2009. He beat 9 other people who are also doing great stuff for humanity. It's just so sad that his victory at the Kodak Theater was overshadowed by the appalling and gruesome events in Maguindanao.

Wesley So at the chess world cup: This chess prodigy defeated a super grandmaster (GM Ivanchuk from Ukraine) and just a few hours ago, beat defending champion, GM Kamsky of the US on their first round match.  

Philippine beauties: Miss Philippines was 1st runner-up in the Miss Earth beauty pageant while Mrs. Philippines was a semi-finalist in the Mrs. World beauty pageant.

BAD NEWS:

Maguindanao massacre. Need I say more? truly, one of the most inhumane act of violence. Whoever did this should rot in hell!

Gloria running for congressman in Pampang: what the F*CK is this??? Is she not satisfied with her 10 years as president? "absolute power corrupts absolutely!"

I just hope that there will be more good news about the Philippines especially now that it's almost Christmas time.

Life may be hard for a majority of Filipinos, but definitely, the Filipino spirit will rise above all these circumstances.

Simula nang i-echa-pwera ng carousel productions ang ms asia pacific at itatag ang miss earth, nawalan ng kinang ang naturang beauty pageant hanggang sa tuluyan na itong naglaho.

Pero wag ka, di niyo pa ba nababalitaan na muling magbabalik ang kaisa-isang miss asia pacific ng bayan?

At sa pagbabalik ng naturang titulo ay siya muling pagsigla at pagsikat ng kagandahan sa pilipinas! kung kokoronahan mamayang gabi si miss earth, sa nov 28 naman si miss international at sa dec 12 si miss world, wag ka at muling niningning ang bituin ni miss asia-pacific sa ika-8 ng disyembre. Rarampa muli ang reyna ng kagandahan. Magpapakita ng gilas upang mapanatili ang kanyang korona. Muling makikisalamuha sa mga taong humahanga sa kanya di lamang dahil sa kanyang ganda at tindig bagkus dahil din sa kanyang angking talino.

So move over misses earth, int'l and world, ms. asia-pacific is coming and when she comes, stars will definitely shine at their brightest! kings, queens, princes, princesses and even elementals aka engkantos, will bow down before their QUEEN! CHOZ!

Ang Pimple

Sabi nila, pag may pimple ang isang tao, inlababo daw.

Hmm..pero bakit ngayon lang ako nagkapimple eh matagal na naman akong inlove sa asawa ko?

Sabi naman ng mga kasama ko sa trabaho, baka daw kasi inlove sa akin yung katrabaho ko na Pinay. Patulan ko na daw kasi kayang kaya ako buhayin ng babae na yun dahil sangkatutak na daw ang pera sa kanyang bank account.

Pero naman, yoko naman ng ganun. Ayoko nga umasa sa babae! Saka haller, taken na ako! May asawa na ako ngayon! Yun nga lang, di kami legally kasal. Kahit live-in, di din. Pero inlababo ako sa baby ko!

Pero lately, napapansin ko na napaka generous ng babaeng ito sa akin. Madalas niya na ako bigyan ng pagkain. Isang umaga nga, pinapunta pa nya ako sa tirahan niya kasi bibigyan niya daw ako ng prutas. 

Sana naman, natutuwa lang siya  at walang ibig sabihin ang pagiging mabait at generous niya sa akin.

Taken na kasi ako at syempre, ayoko makasakit ng damdamin kung sakaling magkaron sya ng feelings sa akin. Ayoko na ulit magpaiyak ng babae.  At ayoko din masisi ng mga kaibigan kapag nasaktan ko ang bebot na iyon.

Kaya dapat friends lang kami. Super married na kaya ako sa baby ko! Yun nga lang, di ko puedeng sabihin sa kanila yun dahil baka ma-shock sila. Akala pa naman nila eh barakong barako ako! Di nila alam, eh ako ang reyna ng Engkantadya! :))

Kaya ang pimple na ito, ang feeling ko lang ay dahil sa pagkain ko ng madaming chocolates dahil tinitiyawat talaga ako sa tsokolate at syempre impluwensiya na din ng polusyon dito sa siyudad na ito.
