Fun in Great Falls!

We went to Great Falls over the weekend...never a dull moment!

Here's the kiddos with Aunt Jess.

Me and my silly brother.

Not sure what to say about this one...

What do we have to look forward to?

I thought...third kiddo? Piece of cake! And for the first 9 months or so we did pretty good. Then he pulled our computer...our new computer, off the counter and broke it. I thought...ugh! Why did we leave it on the edge of the counter where he could reach it from his walker? Won't make that mistake again. Then came the look. That unmistakeable look of a child who is determined to get into trouble. And it was all down hill from there. I'm going to make a list and I'm a little nervous to see it all written out. Here goes!

Broken lap top, fist fulls of sisters hair, cell phone dunked in coffee, cell phone dunked in milk, cell phone dunked in coffee...again, butter bath, peanut butter bath, cell phone in the toilet, "quit chewing on your shoe", ipod in the toilet, shoe in the toilet, chip clip in the toilet, money in the toilet, tank top in the toilet, (you get the toilet thing), two toilets ripped off the floor to be unclogged...the same day, "quit biting the dog", "quit jumping off the dresser", cell phone thrown down the stairs...onto concrete, quit peeing on the kitchen table, (yes, I typed that correctly), "how many oreo's DID we have and how many DO we have now?", oh good Lord, I have to stop. Wow, do I sound like an attentive mom, or what?

On a postive note...the cell phone still works! I should call LG and ask to do an ad for their Voyager!

"I'm not turning 5, Mom!"

"How old are you going to be, Molli," I asked.
"Four," she calmly replies.
"No, Molli. I didn't ask you how old you ARE, I asked how old you are GOING to be."
A determined look sweeps over her face. "I know. I'm not turning five, Mom!"

Well okay then. I wasn't sure what this was about...at first. Then it clicked. Booster shots! Every time we've gone to the doctor in the last year or so she makes sure to tell her pediatrician, "I'm not five like my brother yet...okay!" Cole was easy. He knew he had to get shots before he started Kindergarten. No biggy. Molli, on the other hand, has informed me that she's not going to Kindergarten if it means having to get shots. Great. Luke...YOU ARE COMING WITH ME TO THAT APPOINTMENT!!!

After some negotiations, mainly promising to wait at least 3 months to make her big appointment, she gave in and decided to turn five. I took her and a friend to the Carousel and then to the nail salon to get pretty nails and toes. (Which she promptly started picking at the second we left the place!) Then home for pizza and ice cream cake!

See...Mom's cool too!

Yes, that IS a tent...in the middle of the livingroom. Daddy isn't the only one who can arrange a cool campout! Luke went on an overnight hunting trip so we decided that we wanted to "rough it," too! It was a total success! (Except for the sore back I woke up with.)

Flag football

This was Cole's first year of flag football! He had so much fun! He ended up having quite the fan club, too, thanks to the Burton crew!

Gus is 2!

We had a wonderful time in Great Falls for Gus' second birthday. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! They all came out to Black Eagle park to celebrate. Good food, great conversation and even a little football!

I figured it was only fitting to make Gus a Cookie Monster cake!

Always on the go!

Summer fun!

We had quite a busy summer! Here are just a few pictures of the trouble my monsters decided to get into!

One pair of feet dangling up there are Cole's!!! I couldn't believe he actually went on this darn thing! The funny thing is...it was his Papa Doug that screamed!

We took a quick drive out to Holter dam. Not exactly the nicest day, but the kids had fun getting dirty!

And here's my monster. He had a run in with Cole's dresser. This time...the dresser won!
