Santa

The kids were pretty happy with what Santa brought them this year. Cole got the remote control helicopter he'd been asking for and Molli got a doll house, which she played with for hours yesterday. Gus loved the wrapping paper! We all had a wonderful Christmas and are excited to see what the new year brings.

Christmas with the cousins

Luke's sister Sarah and her family came to Montana for Christmas this year! They have been staying in Missoula with Luke's parents and they all came to our house in Helena on Christmas Eve. Chase and Cameron have grown so much. Chase gave me a hug and is almost as tall as I am! The kids had a sleepover in the basement and luckily they all fell asleep right before Santa got here. Phew, that was close!

Gus' first cereal

Gus has started eating solid food! The first bite came right back out, of course. Then he got this look on his face that said "Man, I gotta figure out how to keep that stuff in!" Then, in went the fist. By the end of his first feeding he was covered from forehead to toes and I had rice cereal up to my elbow. So fun!

Cole's first Christmas program

Cole got to play Dasher in his first Christmas program. He had so much fun! He loved the part where he got to sing "I put a frog in Molli's bed. Somebody snitched on me." Molli wasn't in it, but she did sit in my lap and say everybody's lines!

Christmas tree hunting

We took the kids up into the woods again this year to find the perfect Christmas tree. Having the baby made it a little more of an adventure, but we had a great time. We just bundled Gus up in his snow suit, put him in the front carrier and away we went! Luckily we didn't have to do too much hiking before Luke found "the one." No Charlie Brown tree for us this year!

Good morning, Gus!

He was actually happy in his swing this morning. It didn't take long before he wanted to be upright, but he was content for a little while!

Hi camera!

Kids and their cheesy grins! They love the camera. They are always saying "Mom, you GOTTA take a picture of this!" Sometimes when I try to get them on video they sit there and say "Cheeeeeeeeeeeese."

Visit from Grandma and Papa

It was so nice to see Grandma Mel and Papa Doug. They couldn't believe how fast Gus is growing! He wears an outfit once and then outgrows it. He is 3 1/2 months old and just rolled over for the first time yesterday. He loves the exersaucer because he's able to stand upright. The swing just doesn't cut it anymore!

Happy Halloween

The kids had so much fun on Halloween! Cole was Wolverine from the X-Men, Molli was Super Girl and Gus...well, he started out as a chili pepper...a STUFFED chili pepper, because he outgrew the costume! I could barely cram him into it and soon as he stretched his legs out he blew the whole thing wide open. We changed him into a froggy costume for trick-or-treating.

"Mom, if we can have green eggs..."

Regular pancakes are no longer acceptable. Only multicolored will do! The funny thing is...when the pancakes are colored, the kids don't even put syrup on them. Plain pancakes, yuck!

First snow

Winter is here...or is it? It snowed on Sunday and of course the kids wanted to get out the gloves, mittens, snowpants and boots. They had a great time. I, on the other hand, was not happy about having to brush wet, heavy snow off my car before heading to work. The snow has all melted and it is supposed to be 60 degrees by Friday. Fall...winter...fall...winter...

Sam I am

Molli and I decided to have green eggs and ham for breakfast this morning. I'm not sure what exactly made me feel the need to make lime green eggs, but Molli was entertained.

She turned 3!!!

We had Molli's 3rd birthday on Saturday! She had so much fun. We had friends and family over to celebrate. She got lots of new toys and clothes but was more interested in the cake and ice cream!

Giggles

Gus laughed for the first time today! He's been smiling a lot, but he finally got that first giggle out. Cole and Molli thought it was so funny. Gus had them rolling! Its so fun watching the kids interact with each other. Now that the baby is starting to respond to them, Cole and Molli want to be more involved with him. They keep saying "Look, Mom. I made him smile, " or "I think he wants me to hold him!" Now if I can only get them to start changing diapers...

Relaxing

Gus is getting bigger! Cheeks are starting to fill out and rolls are appearing...on top of rolls. He's started making cute little noises and sure smiles a lot. He loves cuddling up with daddy.

Little fishies!

We took a trip to the lake with Gammie and Grandpa. The kids went fishing and fed the swan but had a hard time just standing on the shore. So in they went...in jeans and t-shirts! Gammie even followed them in!

New addition

Here's the newest addition to our family, Gus Steven. He was born on August 4, 2008 at 1:23 am. He was 8 lbs 1oz. (Plenty big!) It's a good thing we headed to the hospital as soon as my water broke because I was only in labor for an hour! We call him our little rocket man. The doctor didn't even make it in time. Gus was delivered by three nurses! It was a little scary but both mom and baby are healthy. He screams all the time so it's a good thing he's cute!

Princess

We may have created a monster when we started calling Molli our little princess. She now fully believes she is one, although her daddy is the only one allowed to call her that! I have been informed that I need to call her Cinderella. She sure has a mind of her own and when she's set on something, there's no changing it! The teen years could be painful for mommy!

Baseball!

We've been out of touch for a little while so I've decided to do some updating. Cole started his baseball career this year! He had a great coach and had so much fun. When I asked him what postion was his favorite he said, "Hmmm...batter!" He loved playing catcher too. If he ended up in the outfield he usually was sitting in the dirt by the time the first kiddo hit the ball! I would have to say, though, that his favorite part was of course...SNACKS!

Here are the kiddos! Cole is now 4 and 1/2, Molli will be 3 in less than a month and Gus is just 6 weeks old. They sure keep us on our toes. This was taken the day Gus was born, August 4, 2008. He was 8 lbs 1 oz, 19 in long and was born at 1:23 am.

We're back!

The Soper family finally got a computer! We are totally new to this blogging thing so it might take us a while to get the hang of it. We just thought it would be a fun way to let our friends and family know what we're up to. We look forward to giving you all a glimpse into the craziness that is our life!
