Nicail is such a daredevil, lol. She will do just about anything. It was so cute when she decided to jump off this huge bolder the first time, lol. She didn't know if she could do it, but then was dying to do it!

Evening at the River :)

The last few nights the kids and I have been going down to the river to play in the water. It is now Nicail and Will's favorite place to hang out for the evening. We go down to Grandpa's Pond in Hurricane and it's a short sandy walk down to the Virgin River. The water is nice and clear, and the kids love to swim in it. We have discovered this really nice place to hang out, there is this huge bolder that they can jump off of into a deeper part of the river. Nicail loves to jump! We are so glad they got the alligator out of the pond though, hopefully there are not more where that one came from, lol. Nicail, Will, and Stef (my third child) collected a bunch of moss and made a moss ball. Then they started to throw it at each other, lol. They have a lot of fun swimming there, we have been staying until dark and have seen some beautiful sunsets as well. Its just a nice relaxing place to spend time after a long stressful day :)

**Beach BUMS at Lake Powell**

T.W. and I have been planning a trip to Lake Powell for a few months now. His friend Berry and Dez go every year with their family and T.W. has gone the last few times with them. We have been surfing at Quail Lake all summer and now got to test out the waters in Powell. We went for four days and had a freakin blast! We cliff dived, surfed, surfed some more, camped, fished, went on Berry's boat every day. It was a great get away! I really needed that, been working way too much lol. Surfing was a big hit with everyone in camp, Berry was teaching everyone how to do it. They did awesome too! T.W. is like a pro on the surf board, he can even do it without the rope which takes skill. At night we sat around the camp fire and told stories, talked about kids, life, you name it. Berry's dad has some great stories, lol! Basically we got to be a bunch of beach bums for the weekend! It was a great time to relax....

Life in a FLASH..!!!??

I have had a very busy couple of months, people keep asking me why haven't you been blogging?? Lol yes all you blog stalkers out there this one is for you. No I'm kidding.... I have been working very hard and my kids have been very busy in school. Nicail is learning how to play her clarinet, she seems to be a fast learner. Will has been working hard in school and going to scouts. We just haven't had much time for anything. I do have some good news though... I just recently applied and interviewed for the life flight position at Dixie Regional (the neonate team).. And got the POSITION!! OMG I am so excited that I got picked to join the team. This has been a goal of mine for the last 5 years. The first two years when I was an EMT I thought I would always be doing adult life flight, but when I chose to work in the NICU I was ecstatic to find out that they too had a life flight team. Every since I have been waiting for my turn to apply and that day came!! I can't wait to start, but know I have a lot of training ahead of me. Thanks everyone for your support!

Geocaching with Will :)

Will and his friend Austin went geocaching with me last week. We got all his homework done and decided to go find a few caches in the area. It has been so busy and crazy the last little while and we haven't had much time for any fun. I haven't even had time to blog! We were glad to get out of the house and find a few caches. I hope that things slow down next week!

***TURTLE..***

Will found this turtle when we first moved to Hurricane. He basically saved its life, and we have had it for 3 years now. We had Speedy in a aquarium for a long time and decided to up grade him into a kiddie pool. He loves it! It's like his own deluxe pond with rocks in the middle for sun tanning. Speedy sun tans every morning, lol. It's quite the sight to see, he stretches out his legs and pulls his head out as far as he can. He is very comical in this position, but loves to get some sun in the early morning hours. It has been our challenge this summer to get a close up picture of him in this pose. **Speedy** seems to be very fast and slides quickly into the water when approached, lol. I guess we picked a good name for him. Nicail has got the closest to capturing this crazy turtle on film, but we will prevail!
