T-Ball.

T-ball was quite an adventure. Thomas didn't love it.  Jake was the assistant coach for his team.  Thomas did not like standing still or waiting his turn.  He spent most of the time digging in the dirt and making his glove, hair, hands, shoes, socks, and anything else on his person turn red.  But we got through it, and this fall's soccer season is turning out to be much more conducive to his personality--he likes to run.

Pre-School.

Overall, I really loved that Thomas was in pre-school this year.  He had so many fun field trips.  He learned how to write his name and made new friends.  It was a difficult adjustment for him, but it was nice to have quiet time for Evelyn's morning nap and an outlet for Thomas's excess energy.

Daddy Time.

These kiddos sure love their daddy.  Evelyn just came up to me pouting, "I miss daddy."  When she wakes up from her daily nap, her first questions are "Where's brother?" and "Where's daddy?"  They both spend as much time with daddy as possible.

Jake took Thomas on the Father/Son campout that our ward hosts every year.  It was a bit rainy, but they had a blast.  Thomas came home telling me how he wanted to go camping again, because he loved that he got so much daddy time.

Mother's Day.

Pre-school really knows how to make a mother feel loved.  Thomas came home with all kinds of cards and goodies for me this year.  I sure love these babies!

Easter.

Thomas and Evelyn really got into Easter egg hunting this year.  We also decorated hard boiled eggs and made special Easter cookies.

Learning

Thomas and Evelyn learned all kinds of new things this year.

Thomas began to get adventurous and tried to climb over the fence.

Evelyn learned to beg for candy.

We learned that Evelyn doesn't like her hands to get dirty.

Thomas learned how to flip French toast.

Evelyn began to climb.

Evelyn discovered dress-up.  We have since gotten her some more girly accessories.

Friends

During the spring we spent many days at the park and taking long walks with good friends.  

House Building

We spent much of the beginning of 2016 focused on building our new house and packing up our old one.  It was surprisingly hard to leave our old home behind, but I absolutely LOVE our new home.  We also have an awesome school, pool, and friendly neighbors.

Marbles Museum

I sure miss the flexibility of pre-school when we could just take off for a day of fun at the museum.  Thomas is still in love with firefighters, although he assures me that he doesn't want to be one when he grows up.  He wants to be a daddy when he grows up.
