It is Christmas in July over at A Day for Daisies so I had to dig out my Christmas container with all my papers and embellishments to play with. 

I am using "Candy Elf B" as my image along with this weeks sketch by Karen Giron over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. My papers are by Webster's Pages and embellishment is by Making Memories.

I just love washi tape lately and as soon as I saw the sketch over at Techno Stamper I knew I was going to use it again.

I place washi tape on my chipboard before I cut out these heart images. The sentiment is a rub-on by Pebblesinc.

celebrate ~ you are special

I have a couple cards to share with you that I made last night while Skyping with my friend Michelle.

The first card is for this weeks challenge over at CAS-ual Friday and the challenge is to use a rub-on.

I used a making memories rub-on along with some washi tape from my stash.

Next up is a card that I created for this weeks sketch over at Card Patterns.

I used papers by BasicGrey from the "out of print" collection, along with some kraft cardstock, lace from my stash and EK Success border punch.

power outage...

I was going to post this earlier this morning but we were without power for about 6 hours so after running out to get a cup of coffee and a few other errands I came home to wait for the power.

I have a mini album to share with you that I did while scrapbooking with friends last week.  I used the October Afternoon "campfire" line of papers, chipboard album and embellishments.

The photos are of my husband, son Justin and his best friend Ernie and their annual trip up to the cabin in Northome, Minnesota.

It can't be Friday!

As I was sitting here this morning enjoying my nice cup of coffee I was mapping out my day and knew that I eventually had to get my card uploaded for tomorrows A Day for Daisies new release.

All of a sudden I realize that today is Friday and I have totally missed posting my card to the design team blog so it will be there when they do the new reveal.

This is what happens to me when I go scrapbooking for two days with friends.

So without further delay here is my card for this week using Tammy's new release image "baby wings".

I fell in love with this little one the moment I saw it. Now here are the rest of this weeks new images.

for the love of flowers

It is going to be a hot one here in Minnesota today so thought I would get a little bit of time in my craftroom early before the heat gets unbearable up there.

I used two new images that I purchased from Arielle over at Wax Fruit Company. If you have not checked out her images I suggest you stop by and look at them.

I created this first card using the lavender image. I don't know what it is but I just love purple lately. Hope it doesn't have anything to do with age.

For this card I used the sketch from Clean and Simple and because of the size I printed my digital image I changed my card to a square instead of a standard A2.

Next is a just because card that I created while playing in my craftroom. I used another image by Arielle called "coneflowers". I colored with copics and then colored the seam binding to match.

 Do you like Dandelion's? When I was a kid my grandma taught us how to make a tiara with them and we would wear them on our head all day long.

It is Friday and that means time for A Day for Daisies. This week the design tea got to play with the July Club kit. I was able to play with the image "curious things".



I decided to keep it pretty simple so I pulled out some Echo Park "dots and stripes" papers, my copics and some of my hand died seam binding ribbon to match her dress.

I love that each image comes with a sentiment to use on your card.

hello (warning long post)

I have quite a few things to share today and was going to try and break this down into several post but decided what the heck, just do it all at once.

I have a few cards to share with you along with a couple of layouts that I did while catching up on some of my favorite shows.

I created this card for this weeks Clean and Simple Stamping sketch and I wanted to use this gorgeous paper that I picked up. It is from the Odds and Ends collection by Cosmo Cricket. I bought two pieces of this paper about 2 months ago and finally got around to using it.

Here is the sketch. Such a fun sketch and my favorite style CAS.

Next up is a card I created for the Stamping with Brenda sketch challenge. I also had this paper in my scrap stash and had just enough to do this card.

The satin flower is one that I made and the stickers are October Afternoon. Here is the sketch that I used and I like it so much I am adding it to my sketch journal for future reference.

Next up is a card I made just because I had some scraps sitting on my desk from a couple of layouts that I did of my great nephew Adrian. The digital image is one  that I had colored awhile ago but never used.

Here are a couple layouts of Adrian using his one year pictures that his Momma sent to me.

Isn't he just adorable? He has the most amazing blue eyes.

Adrian has a little brother due in September named Ryder James and we can't wait to meet him.
